Why are countries in South America, Like Chile, Argentina and Uruguay so poor

I've been around South America and while there are people with Italian and Spanish ancestry, most people have a lot of native blood. Plus people from Peru/Bolivia/etc (which are almost entirely native) have been mass migrating to Chile and Argentina over the past 40-50 years. Also recently Chile has taken in hundreds of thousands of blacks from Haiti and Africa due to a UN treaty. In the early 1900s Buenos Aires and Santiago use to be pretty nice. In fact Argentina use to be richer than the US in the early 1900s. It's only been since the 1950s have they started really falling.

For different historical and geopolitical reasons that are far too many to enumerate. We suffer from a lot of endemic issues. I'd wish for a right wing that wasn't functional to foreign interests and just "conservative" as the Europeans or Americans, but ours is retarded and destructive.

I read something and i also read wikipedia, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethnic_groups_of_Argentina#Europeans , states Argentina is a big powerful country thats 61% white yet its a beating dog, underperforming for whats its demograhpics suggest. my country is ok more white, and we used to be a big time poor house in the 90s, and we cind of managed to climb out of the dumpster and are moving more towards europe. yet argentina is still far behind. uruguay is doing a bit better but still underperforming european host countries where their population came from
