>2018 >815,000 Americans hospitalized due to the common flu >far-left media sleeps
>2020 >60,000 Americans hospitalized due to coronachan >OMG, you guys, the hospitals are overwhelmed!!!1!!
The American lügenpresse owned and operated by far-left billionaires. You don't believe the dim-witted, lying, gaslighting propagandist far-left morons of CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, NY Times, and Washington Post, do you?
Past tense of light is lit. Go away you dumb whore.
Aaron Morris
Its more then 60k tho.
Oliver Green
I'll state it simply.
The common flu is not nearly as infectious as COVID-19 and began around peak flu season in which hospitals were already stretched thin from the flu. By the time hospitals began preparing for the fact that same stress would extend all the way until late Spring or early Summer medical supplies were now in low stock thanks to COVID-19 originating in China where we get the vast majority of our medical supplies.
Thanks to the heightened infection rate and really long incubation period it isn't just going to vanish away like the flu does. The flu has a course that it runs while COVID-19 does not.
Owen Diaz
The flu wasn't intentionally released on the world by the CCP.
Jose Robinson
>The flu has a course that it runs while COVID-19 does not.
You have no basis to say this since COVID only has this instance to compare it with, thus there is no "course" to compare it with prior.
Nolan Jones
I'll state it simply.
There is a common flu vaccine quickly and easily administered, available on demand at any and all chain pharmacies and supermarkets in every town of the United States. In spite of that, 40 million Americans get the common flu every year, 600,000 Americans are hospitalized due to the common flu every year, and 50,000 Americans die of the common flu every year.
The common flu is a much more resilient and stubborn virus than SARS-CoV-2, and yet governments never shut down the economy, the media never screeches about hospitals being overrun, and the lying media never creates panic in the population.
Angel Adams
We're at 600k infected and it's only been here since January.
Nicholas Torres
Now tell me how many Americans have become infected with the common flu since January. Tell me how many Americans become infected with common flu every year for the last 25 years during the flu season of Oct 1 through May 1.
I already know those answers, but I'll wait for your reply.
Eli Turner
>it isn't just going to vanish away like the flu does So why not just give it to every human on earth and #LetDarwinDecide?
And Obama didnt shut down the country and institute communism like Trump
Dominic Hughes
It would be gas-lighted, not gas-lit in this instance, given the word is used as a transitive verb, not a noun.
Dumbass
Nicholas Stewart
>And Obama didnt shut down the country
No Obama depleted the national reserves of PPE and never replaced them. Almost like he knew COVID19 was coming and intentionally left America vulnerable.
Now tell me how many millions of Americans contracted H1N1 before Obama reacted for the first time when he ordered a national emergency?
Tell me how many months passed between the first diagnosed case of H1N1 and Obama's national emergency order?
Tell me how many Americans ultimately died of H1N1 before Obama triggered the national emergency measures?
President Trump traded American lives for a recession. President Trump shut down travel from Asian countries in January well before the media was screeching, and in spite of Fauci and other medical "experts" claiming that SARS-CoV-2 was nothing to be concerned about. For this, President Trump deserves a monument.
Angel Morris
We have knowledge in that it is within a family of illnesses and behaves somewhat similar to a few of them. The reason why I say it has no course is because after presumably 4-5 months of this there has not been an interruption in infection rate besides the use of dramatic measures to starve the virus of new hosts. The moment we started to see a decline in infection rate suddenly Palm Beach Spring Break and Mardi Gras happened and it exploded. That indicates no course, that it'll infect so long as it has hosts to infect like most respiratory illnesses.
You just stated why. We know the flu, we know how they operate, we know how to fight it, and the infection rate (Notice I said rate and not raw numbers) is dramatically lower than COVID-19 because for 2-4 weeks you're capable of infecting people without showing a single symptom when you have COVID-19. For most flus the asymptomatic infectious period is only a handful of days tops.
You're fucking retarded and clearly suffer from Dunning-Kruger.
Because we're unaware if you develop a post-infection immunity. If you don't then it's just going to keep making rounds until it eventually causes your death. If we do then we still condemn millions to die who didn't have to.
Once / If we get a vaccine up and running it'll probably go the way of a lot of persistent viruses in that it'll either completely vanish or only appear in pockets of anti-vaxxers.
Grayson Flores
no, because i'm not stupid and i listen to no agenda
>CDC estimates that influenza was associated with more than 35.5 million illnesses, more than 16.5 million medical visits, 490,600 hospitalizations, and 34,200 deaths during the 2018–2019 influenza season. This burden was similar to estimated burden during the 2012–2013 influenza season1.
This was one whole year and there was no shelter in place or any measure of quarantine. Let's compare that to the current historic nationwide quarantine measures. Covid19 - 619k+ infected in the U.S. of which 400k are hospitalized / 27k dead. 3.5 months (wuflu) vs 12 months (flu). How bad would it have been if we didn't start quarantining? You can't even compare the two.
Apples and oranges meme flags. Read your image, you can't even compare the two.
Hunter Reed
It's an elaborate and desperate false flag. Stay away from protests and don't go to the hospital for any reason. Things are going to feel pretty crazy for a while but we're almost through this.
Kayden King
So you think COVID19 will go away? Like with SARS, MERS, ZIKA, and EBOLA?
>Apples and oranges meme flags. Read your image, you can't even compare the two. Read the post. I never compaired the two. The image was for total case numbers to be used for perspective in regards to the COVID numbers. I never compared the two viruses. This Chinese made, and WHO distributed, Wuhan Virus is much deadlier
Stop pulling stuff out of your ass. American scientists identified the novel coronavirus as a SARS derivative back in November. Twitter was afire with scientists chatting about the novel coronavirus having large segments of SARS RNA joined together in ways that do not occur in nature. Our scientists know an enormous amount about coronavirus, in fact our scientists have developed vaccines against coronavirus. And our scientists, almost to a man, felt that this novel coronavirus was of little concern due to the fact that its RNA structure was identified as nothing unusual other than the fact that it appears to have markers that indicate human engineering.
Trump even referenced in his State of the Union address on February 4 that fighting the china virus would be a top priority while Nancy Pelosi yawned and tore up the speech. The media never made a point to talk about Trump's reference to the coronavirus in their analysis over the day or two after that speech. However, it wasn't until weeks after that speech that the media began creating a sense of panic and fear in the population. The media and the Democrats were very late to the party.
Juan Gonzalez
You sound like an absolute subhuman monkey.
The facts speak for themselves and the amount of deaths (~120,000) compared to economic impact (>$1trillion) do not line up. We totally overreacted and continue to do so because our leaders are a bunch of limp wristed faggots. Stay away from gramps and carry on with your daily life and stop worrying about death because you have 99+% chance of living. If you understood risk, you would understand this level of risk does not require a change in behaviour.
Why didnt Trump replenish them if they were so important? Sounds like npc pipul None that mattered Obama handled the American flu better than Trump handles the Chinese virus And thats a bigly fact Less dead, less infected, no communism
Jose Ramirez
>Obama handled the American flu
Obama's incompetence with H1N1 Swine Flu led to 61 million Americans infected, 300,000 Americans hospitalized, and 15,000 Americans dead - nearly all of which were young Americans.
In fact, in spite of H1N1 being a virus that was killing very young people, Obama allowed people to engage in normal activities throughout the summer, and he never reacted for the first time until well into the school season.
Obama made sure that his billionaire banking buddies didn't suffer from a shutdown of the economy. Obama allowed the virus to spread like wildfire on orders of his billionaire benefactors. Obama threw Americans under the bus for the sake of Goldman-Sachs, JP Morgan, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Citigroup, and the billionaire investors buying up the treasury bonds Obama pumped through those five banks.
Yep Obama did it better for America than Trump All of Trump's metrics are worse More dead, more infected, more economic impact Did Obama shutdown the economy for the American flu?
Liam Barnes
I'd like the gas out of yuna's butt
Oliver Nguyen
>The flu wasn't intentionally released on the world by the CCP. well there is an argument floating around that china suposely spread the virus after they got hit because they wanted the world to suffer while they bounced back from their lockdown. This is an evil communist regime we're talking about here. The deception of the chinese controlled WHO makes me think there is something to this.
>No Obama depleted the national reserves of PPE and never replaced them. Almost like he knew COVID19 was coming and intentionally left America vulnerable. This might just be the most schizo comment of the day, and that's saying something
Brandon Johnson
They've installed these things at work. If you have a fever an alarm goes off and they send you home.
Josiah Watson
what is it called? show me an image of it. part of me believes you, part of me doesn't.
