So the US military conventional strength is pretty strong. It's very unlikely that one country alone would want to challenge it, but what would happen if those who are oppressed by it started to liberate their terretories at the same time?

The US military is commited a lot of places around the world and if all those places went hot at the same time, it would be alot harder for the US to maintain status quo.

Most of the money pumped into the military goes into private hands instead of research and that's why the US isn't more technologically advanced than China or Russia despite enormous funding. The US has a big strong navy and airforce which gives them a good combat ability worldwide.

Carries would be only equivalent of base and each destroyed carrier would be one base less. USA is far away from everyone else, so it would be almost impossible to defend or attack without bases on other continents.
