A test for CoVid19 did not exist so it became a weak spot for the government. So, the government changed the rules and allowed any company with some data saying a test kit works to sell them.
Think about it, suppose you just want to make money being a vendor. Put a useless test together and sell it to Uncle Sam.
NONE of these tests have been validated.

Basically, it says no one knows if the tests even work.

What the published paper implies isn't actually too bad, MERS also did this shit and it didn't even leave lasting damage to most people it infected. That it jams some immune systems so bad explains why some patients just crash and die over a few days, but everyone who beats it manages to shrug off that damage somehow. It also means that we might already know how to stop it, that's why the anti-HIV and ebola drugs work well. The final saving grace is that it can't reproduce inside the lymphocites, this means it's extremely unlikely that it stays with you forever. If that was the case, none of the patients that weren't given antiretrovirals would survive, and you'd already see people who recovered relapse in massive numbers. Reinfection might still be a risk, we don't know yet, but as of now, latency, thank fuck, seems impossible.

Its likely the COVID-19 chink flu test false positives on other coronaviruses that are not novel.
