Should the small rodent trade be legal?
Psychos could torture and abuse hamsters and gerbils for only $11.99 at PetSmart or PetCo. We all know that there are psychos out there who like to hurt animals. What's to stop some crazy person from taking an innocent little gerbil, put it inside of a sock and then slamming it on the counter top? Look at this little guy. It is legal for psychos to buy these for mere several dollars and then beat them with a fire exstinquisher. How do we make sure this doesnt happen?
I think that it should be illegal to give rodents to someone unless you can somehow know for sure that they are a good person and not an animal abuser. Whos with me?
This things life cost 11.99

Remember to wrap your small rodents in duct tape before you fuck them so they don't explode.
R.I.P., Sgt Tuonela, Destroyer of Worlds.
Full background checks for rodent buyers with a 3 day mandatory waiting period.
Someone might have a hankering to stick a gerbil up his ass and a cooling off period is needed til it goes away.
Maybe some kind of mandatory training program for retailers so they can identify someone jonesing for an ass rat.

Yeah. And little kids like to hurt gerbils too. I read a post on reddit about a guy who liked to squeeze gerbils until their eyes popped out. Some fucked up shit. I can't believe that kind of thing happens in our world. There was also that guy who flushed his girlfriends hamsters down the toilet. Like what the hell did those little squirts do to you d bag? We need to end rodent abuse all together and give background checks to all people who wish to buy rodents. And a trained professional should have to check up on the little guy every so often to make sure that every gerbil and hamster goes abuse free.
hedead, lol.

You see monsters but I see a plethora of ideas!
I think you all need to apologize. Being a janny aint easy. Its a thankless payless job. One might say being a janny is the definition of based.
You can buy a whole chicken for less than that, and the chicken will have lived a worse life.
Before you start complaining that rodents are harmed, maybe you should stop eating animals.
I once had my girlfriend swallow mice alive to get off
hell is too small a punishment for those who hurt defenseless animals
Imagine paying 12 bucks for that.
I got a little nigga that lives in my living room. I caught him climbing up the curtain, I told the dog to attack and it just laid on it's bed and went back to sleep.
I tried putting a trap but it didn't fall for it. Also there are rats that come in from the alley, they swing from the electrical wires and steal my fruit, I can't even shoot them because I live in the city. Then the squirrels come and do the same.. barking at my dog, mimicking and laughing. Now the possums are wandering around too, I walked out at 2am and it just looked at me. There's even a raccoon living in one of my trees, they get into physical altercations with my dog, I have to step in and break it up.
The neighbors cat climbs on my roof stalking me, also looking for trouble. It got it's ass beat [by, you guessed it, my dog] and it still won't learn, it's out of control.
I don't understand why people are even buying these rodents, they're all over the place
Don't hurt the humble and disease-free possum, they're not even rodents.
Would you hurt America's last living marsupial? Are you even American?
breeding and owning animals as pets should be outlawed
You must live in a shithole.
Did she get sick from it?
Someone I know bought rats for his miniature beagle to eat. The dog did absolutely nothing and was just curious about the rats. One of the rats ended up killing the other one as he didn’t feed them. He’s a narcissist and likely a sociopath but a very blatant, annoying one
What a crazy story man
Mouse owner here
Don't buy pets in shops, adopt from breeders or from someone who had an unwanted birth from their pet
Rodents from shops are inbred and retarded and will die prematurely
Also nothing wrong with owning a pet rodent if you take good care of it, unfortunately it's not the case for a lot of people who adopt. Sadly, just as with cats and dogs, there's a lot of those animals that doesn't live in good condition.
I agree man, dumbass boomers always buying bunnies and guinea pigs for their grandkids who immediately forget to feed it. You know how many bunny rabbits are bought as gifts on/ for Easter? Like that's a good gift to give someone, the responsibility of taking care for an animal that can live a decade without even discussing it first?
Speaking of rodents, did you know feeder rats can make really good pets? The only real downside is that they have a very short life span when compared to cats and dogs.
don't go to china lol
I think anybody who even so much as says a bad word about black people (like the n-word) should have a red flag that prohibits them from owning rodents. Because if they are hateful enough to speak ill of blacks people, lord only knows how badly they’ll abuse a rodent.
And if they have a rodent in their homes, officers should be able to break down their front door and confiscate any rodents on the premises. We really must protect vulnerable pets anons.
Thats actually a good idea. Just like the businesses that people pay to go in a room and smash household items to relieve anger or stress. This could be a great business idea, thanks user.
OH LAWD, HE COMIN.
Pet's in general are kind of a fucked up concept. Most people with pets do not treat them well even if they mean to. For example, dogs would be outside all day and in packs if they could, but instead they get an hour walk and have to sit at home cooped up and alone most of the time- or with another dog if the owner has multiple pets but that still can't compare to a pack. Cats have very free and nice lives if they are let outside but they can't wreck havoc on wildlife such as rodents and small birds. Speaking of rodents and birds, being trapped in a cage most of the time is cruel. Birds are meant to fly and in the wild rodents roam all over the place.
Same concept with zoos. Really, forcing an animal to live out of the wild for any other reason than rescue or if the creature is injured/ otherwise not able to survive is just an example of human apathy, and at worst, cruelty.
Also this. If you are going to get a pet, adopt or rescue. Supporting the animal trade because you want some unhealthy "pedigree" is bullshit
>they can't wreck havoc on wildlife such as rodents and small birds

My cat fucks birds and lizards up (floridanon here). Cats really are apex predators. She’s big too, 15 pounds (I think she’s part Maine coon), and can stare down an opossum
>big
>15lbs
why does every fucking retard think their cat is "part main coon". I have a british short hair that weighs 13lbs and he is not even very large, he has short legs and as a result he is nicknamed pony because we thought he would be as big as a horse. My fat fuck cat is 22lbs.
>15lb cat
>big
Is it wrong that I like animals & value their life more than humans? I see nothing wrong with beating animal abusers to death with a claw hammer or something. I'm not even larping, if I could get away with it & I knew there was someone hurting mice or hamsters or whatever, I'd brutally end them in revenge.
>Is it wrong that I like animals
no
>Is it wrong value their life more than humans?
yes
>I see nothing wrong with beating animal abusers to death with a claw hammer or something.
this is fine
Tazer rat trap. Skip to min 5 for the double kill. It's like rat pop-corn!
My cat is very long. She’s 15 lbs and not fat at all. Long bushy tail, right fur length. Idk maybe she’s not
I had a hamster when I was around 11 years old, I wish I took better care of him. Tiny ass cage, left him overnight in a hamster ball, gave him a bath, spanked him for pissing in my hand... surprisingly he lived for about 3 years.
I had chinchillas. They live a really long time and they’re super cute. I was always kind to my little pals, even when they got into mischief.
Cats are weird though. They kinda domesticated themselves & latches on parasitically, which I kinda respect. So it's more or less a by their own consent thing that they became pets. Dogs meanwhile pretty much co-evolved, so again, it's at least partly their civilisation too, most seem pretty content. In general I agree though, wild nature is always preferable to domestication. Those 2 examples have just evolved (for better or worse) to be exceptions. Same for milk producing cattle for example, at some point a species is som domesticated it couldn't go back to the wild regardless.

I say nigger all the time and take great care of my rodents. What a stupid post. Nigger.
>What's to stop some crazy person from taking an innocent little gerbil, put it inside of a sock and then slamming it on the counter top?
asians have been doing that for a long time already
Didn't need read to long stop harassing hedgehogs
meanwhile, in other news...
>not giving your $11.99 to Big Dirtsheets Dave
