Anti-tech is nigger-tier controlled opposition thinking.

Self-sufficient technology should be highlighted.

Ideology should be removed.

Reply to American user :

>Excuse me. I'm in and out of meetings, so I need to be brief.

No problem mate. Things be the way they be.

>I see people popping into these threads from time to time that give courtesy bumps and, in general, like the efforts put forth here. It's in part
because we use Ted as a symbol and mostly because they see an honest and competent effort (by a lot of us) to spread the word. I think this lull in quality posts is temporary.

Hope you're right about the lull, user. And God bless all those faggots that keep bumping, by the way. They could just as easily sit back and NOT bump.

>I think this general can push anons over the edge into finally reading ISAIF cover to cover.

There is so much fucking raw potential here.... Don't want to be overly optimistic, but the whole of Yas Forums is just ripe to be swayed in an anti-tech direction, especially with Coronachan doing her thing. Too many reasons to enumerate right now, but basically just think about what stormfags accomplished thru sheer insistance....

>These people probably have friends (haha), and these friends won't be as willing as the user to read ISAIF. Why not give them a modern ISAIF to hand to them instead. Something they couldn't look up immediately and say: "WTF the unabomber wrote this! Are you crazy?"

This is an excellent point. Fucking Unabomber, man.... Maybe you should reiterate and reinforce this very point again in future threads, you are definitely on to something here:

In other words, ISAIF for curious polacks, and a 'new revamped-for-the-current-zeitgeist text' for their friends. It is starting to make sense. Plus,
having the text be anonymous in origin may well work in favor of the spreading of the ideas themselves.

b.u.m.p.

bump

Wow look at all these third-worlders who have not invented a single enduring technology. This must be a Microsoft thread.

We can compile all valid criticism of ISAIF as a start. Then IDK. We can have a manifesto olympics or something. I don't think an essay can effectively be written by many anons. The FAQ lends itself well to this sort of approach, but the essay needs to be at least stylistically consistent. Keeping posts short to bump.

what about the number system that you use mutt

>Modern India
>Aryan mathematics
Go partition yourself you paltering pajeet.

I'm in favor of our systems. The metric system is a degenerate technophilic system. The U.S. customary system is irrational like the most beautiful aspects of the human soul.

wow, americans are dumb
i meant number system, the decimal number system
system of measurement is not number system

>We can have a manifesto olympics or something. I don't think an essay can effectively be written by many anons.

Lol at the olympics thing.... But yes, it might be a very good idea to do exactly it that way, because as you say, it really cannot be effectively written by several anons AND at the same time be stylistically consistent.

Why do you always take the bait??? WHY???????

What makes us think they would read another, when a perfectly good one already exists.

*do it exactly

for bump's sake

This is a very good point, but another user made this point in relation to that matter:

>These people probably have friends (haha), and these friends won't be as willing as the user to read ISAIF. Why not give them a modern ISAIF to hand to them instead. Something they couldn't look up immediately and say: "WTF the unabomber wrote this! Are you crazy?"

It seems to at the very least be worth considering.

we just need to strip his name. most wont know who wrote it till its late, and then, the quality would trump over the creator

>my superior lakh
cringe

We should just make an abridged version of "The Technological Society"

I considered something like this too. I think people would double down on their previous beliefs. People don't appreciate being tricked. It makes them feel stupid. Hard to take emotions out of it when your "friend" thinks you are a fool (from their perspective).

Dumb mutt, even imperial system uses decimal numbers. Number system stays same. The base 10 number system.
How can you be so dumb?

Attached: 936.jpg (625x626, 30.76K)

Don't really see how that would work, anons aren't stupid mate.

'Repackaging' the ideas into a new essay does make sense insofar as the actual ideas would be made available, without any immediate links to the author. Plus, anons always have Ellul's work to draw from, too. There is virtually no idea that Ted has put to paper in ISAIF specifically that wasn't first proposed by Ellul.

Well, you dont lie to them! you just conceal a part of information. Say that paper was posted anonymously over Yas Forums, and i know nothing more than that.

Came to the thread hoping for genuine discussion. Instead its mutts and turd worlders bickering. Too bad...

But ted said most user's are stupid. They read such literature as an escape. If we convert the pdf into image, and back to pdf, they wont be able to copy paste it. Without copy paste, they wont immediately google lines of it, and would be happily unaware of the author.
Also, the title has to go, its a give away

Isn't the long-term goal fo these threads to eventually create a revolutionary movement?

I mean people who get too discouraged by Ted's actions to even read his manifesto wouldn't make good revolutionaries

pick up baits, it bumps the post laddie.

Why would that matter to me? Why would I want that? Thinking you're superior because you have a 10 digit split is retarded. I don't care about having one system for convenience.

Yeah, have actually been thinking of doing this for quite some time now, since way before these Generals....

Do you happen to know of an online version of 'The Technological Society' available anywhere...? That would help immensly. Have a hard-copy, with all the most crucial paragraphs already individualized; if an electronic copy, PDF or whatever were available, making an abridged version would really be just a matter of deleting and copy+pasting.

THIS.

No one likes being conned.

I think the issue is completely with the infamy of the author. The essay is already very short, which is an advantage. It's hard enough to get people to read a "book", so we should look into cutting out the fat wherever we can. However, we shouldn't dilute the message. We can start brainstorming to produce a list of parts in ISAIF that can justifiably be taken out or rewritten to be more succinct.

This indian has a technocratic mind: "muh base 10, muh base 10, muh base 10... muh convenience, muh convenience... fuck local number systems, fuck local number systems, fuck local number systems"

Fluoride state of mind.

see asshole, you got 10 fingers. and you count on them, it's that useful
you talk like your amputee kinds

ratical.org/ratville/AoS/TheTechnologicalSociety.pdf

Here's an online version

so what do? destroy technology and infrastructure, and sheeeit?

I understand the rational behind the base 10 system. But I am saying it does not matter to me. It is more important to me to preserve unique number systems rather than forcing everybody to move to a retarded standardized base 10 system. Lookup the Mayan numbers system - absolutely based

>It's useful
so are cars. I'm against them anyway.

i'll volunteer

>But ted said most user's are stupid.

Fuck Ted and his opinions, man. His core ideas are invaluable of course, 'pure gold' or whatever, but you can't let him rule your actions, either....

Tricking people into reading something will NOT be fruitful, most people who would take the time to read ISAIF will not appreciate getting conned. And if they are willing to actually read an essay instead of looking at flashy colors on a screen to begin with, chances are they are not all that stupid, either.

Don't leave just yet, mate.... thanks for the bump.

>forcing everybody to move to a retarded standardized base 10 system
you force things that are unpleasant
you adopt things that are pleasant
technology was forced, not adopted

number systems are an early technique

Excellent, thank you, will check it out later.

Attached: Ellul quotes meme1.jpg (512x168, 27.49K)

Let me put it this way: I will die a martyr before I adopt a base 10 system.

No. What you see here is a completely legal organization of anons disseminating ideas.
