Obscure Digital modes over HAM radio gives decent "privacy", but is security through obscurity. Mess with different timings, widths, etc in FLDigi and nobody is going to bother taking the time to decode it unless you are an active target. Most people that might be listening don't even have a recording going, so if they miss it the first time it's gone.
Other methods (word substitution, "chair is against the wall") aren't technically legal but hard to catch over HAM.
One time Pads are ironclad, if you have good random numbers and don't share/reuse them.
