I therefore propose a method that is immediately available to treat the disease based on 2 factors.
The first is an observation that a number of persons carry the virus but appear to suffer no serious side effects themselves indeed they are asymptomatic carriers.
Many academics initially did not recognize this fact.
The second observation is that no one is invincible as rightly pointed out by the WHO director.
Corona SARS 2 19 is itself not invincible it has a great weakness.
This weakness can be its undoing it has a fatty coat known as a lipid envelope.
Indeed the virus ican be killed by a simple soap which acts as a detergent to solve this lipid envelope or fatty coat.
My proposal is to combine these 2 factors in what appears to me to be a neat solution.
Asymptomatic carriers are living in balance with their viral load and they can only do this because their immune system has produced enough antibodies to keep the virus in constant check.
Their plasma obtained through plasmapheresis could be used to help other patients who are unable to mount such an immune response.
I propose that this plasma be washed by a detergent a technique that's well established .
Plasma detergents destroy viruses that have lipid coats such as CORONA SARS 19 has.
in addition to detergents I propose that a solvent be added as iwell which is also well established and approved technique and licensed as S & D methods ( solvent & detergent method).
In the interest of safety I propose that heat treatment be added to S&D prepared plasma to ensure greater safety .
The method i propose removes the stigma of being acarrier and converts the individual to a prized plasma donor .
In conclusion I propose that the patients should be treated before they reach a stage where they require ventilation because by that time it is often too late .
Judicious timing of plasma transfusion is in my opinion essential .
