I'll be honest I have no fucking clue what the hell pollsters do all day. You read how they get these numbers and how they "adjust" them and you wonder why they bother in the first place. Seems simple to take a large sample of the population, then examine the sample and make sure the demographics actually match the population. You're allowed to make slight adjustments to the sample, but then places like Gallup will use 27% postgraduates for their sample and say adjusting the percentages fixes the result they get somehow. Every time I read how polls are conducted it just sounds like assholes trying to reinvent the wheel.
