Landlord here. I own a 20 flat apartment lot. Im not actually collecting rent from the tenants, we made a written agreement they will pay me when this stupid shit is over, the whole debt divided into 24 monthly installments with 6% yearly interest. Most are normie npcs of the worst kind tho, so idk why i worry. I have more than enough money to survive tho, since i dont shit it away on useless shit.

Thats pretty much inflation value here. What people dont seem to understand that tenants use the property, sometimes even outright fuck shit up there and then refuse to pay the contractors expenses. That is one reason not to allow rent to be just forgiven. You wont have 0 money, but you actually go into the negative because of the expenses if you do.

Inflation is 4% a year. I earn 2% a year on the money. I would earn way more if I put them in stonks otherwise. Get like 1/10th of what i would make if that was the case. Im literally borrowing the place my father built to people so they dont have to sleep on the street. I charge around 400 as deposit. Its literally nothing.
