No such thing in the UK. There is only "law". The law made by Parliament. Nothing in the Coronavirus Act 2020 gives the police any greater power and they are not able to break someones door like this to enter.
What they might do is argue they had reasonable grounds for suspecting a criminal offence was being committed - this allows entry to property in an emergency when a warrant cant be obtained under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1986 and its associated codes. Thats why the constable kept saying they "had a call" from someone saying they thought there was a party happening.
What should happen is that the guy should bring this to court and the police should be fined for trespass and criminal damage.
What will happen is itll go to court and the case will be thrown out with costs because the court will side with the police saying they had "reasonable grounds" to suspect something was happening (a call isnt really enough but its just about sufficient I guess) to allow it.
The point here is that the police are fucking numpties. These powers to enter are to prevent serious crime and disorder. Not to check theres a fucking party happening even in times of Coronavirus. That the courts wont do enough to hold the police to account is where the rot starts because the Police know the courts are on their side so they can bend the rules like they have done here.
