That does not include the lot rent. The rent is most likely as high or at least 60% of the mortgage. Also, when the trailer is paid off the lot rent will double or triple so you are forced to sell the trailer or get it towed away which is expensive and can damage it.

It is not liveable. You will be harrassed, assaulted, begged for gibs almost everyday. If you work they will break in and loot several times a year until you stop owning anything of value.

i was over visiting friends in michigan (ann arbor area) just before christmas and i can assure you in ann arbor property prices are even more fucking nuts than here. for example there was 1 place i distinctly remember being on the market for 325k that i swear to god didn't look fit to live in. my friends did say that Texas has some great locations/property that doesn't require people to sell a kidney and they were thinking of moving sometime in the near future.

The home in OP's post is a modular. They can be secured to a foundation like a regular home or left on cinderblocks, they are typically built to the same code as regular houses. 80K is pretty fucking cheap. For a modular that size, most companies would charge 120k just to get the house there and set up. That's not including getting the water and electric hooked up and getting connected to sewer or installing septic.
