but why? I don't believe that you should be some other race to understand religion. The whole world is converted into christianity, but you could argue that its to a complicated religion with a lot of reliance on obscure religious jewish concepts.

you can argue that many religions have political elements, like Islam has this concept of muslim Ummah, the community of muslims of the world and this idea allows them to have international organisations and even allows Iranian pilgrims to visit Saudi Arabia.

I don't really care about China, i care about myself and my spirituality. Although i understand that in Christianity for example it all comes down to Israel and people who are Christians getting obsessed with Israel. Is there some sacred place in China that Falun Gong cares about, some sacred temple or something, without which they can't practice their religion in full force? Also, can non-Chinese practice this religion, can there be priests of some sorts who are not Chinese, or it all comes down to worshiping Chinese land and culture?

I was made to practice for a number of years as a kid. My mother is a top local coordinator, my brother does propaganda work for them (Epoch Times, Vision Times).
I wouldn't technically call it a cult, in the sense that you can easily leave. It's a Qigong derived new age religion. There are very strong Sino-centric underpinnings to their scripture.

There isnt a formalized hierarchy - but coordinators, trusted organizers, etc have different levels of access. The centralizing figure is Master Li - I believe he must have deputies (who my mother has referred to) but they arent a big focus or well known. Li's word is scripture. If he goes, Im not sure if FLG can sustain itself as cohesively for too many years.
