Displaced Syrians wary of coronavirus risk return to war-torn Idlib
Thousands of displaced Syrians have begun moving back to their homes in war-torn Idlib province despite the risk of renewed conflict, some driven by fear that the new coronavirus could wreak havoc on crowded camps near the Turkish border.
About one million Syrians fled Idlib and its surrounding countryside in northwest Syria this past year after Russian-backed government forces stepped up a campaign to retake the last rebel stronghold after nine years of war.
Fighting has calmed since March when Ankara, which backs some groups opposed to President Bashar al-Assad, agreed a ceasefire with Moscow, which has supported Damascus with heavy air power.
Syria's northwest does not yet have a confirmed case of coronavirus, but doctors fear the area's ravaged medical infrastructure and overflowing camps would quickly turn any outbreak into a humanitarian disaster.
As the tentative peace holds, displaced Syrians are weighing up grim options: remain in tightly packed camps with few services where a viral spread could be lethal, or return to homes still at risk of getting caught in renewed bloodshed.

I just had this most bizarre and vivid dream where I was in some narrow Arabic-looking alley, a couple of it's houses are ruined with debris filling the alley, I was standing there looking weird as if i'm dreaming or something, I look to my right after standing on top of a pile of rubble and what do I see? Natalia, walking the alley with some unknown figures, she smiles and talks to me like she knows me and I'm still up in the small rubble hill, I smile back and say something nice and she enters one of the old houses with her entourage and I'm left stunned. I walk away to other alleys, wandering around and then to a market as if I'm heading home, halfway in the market(which looks almost medieval but somehow modern) I think to myself what the fuck was that just now and run back through a few alleys trying to find the first debris filled alley looking for Natalia, I could never find the alley... I turn back through the same market and exist the neighbourhood into a surprisingly fancier neighbourhood with soldiers standing around and then some other things happen like a couple of unknown dogs running circles around me trying to attack with the soldiers just watching from far away... This is probably the weirdest dream I've had in a while...
Interesting, but doesn't sound as weird as you make it sound
Leo Moore
It looked very weird and dark and ominous in a way I can't put into words. Also dogs chasing you in a dream means you have enemies
Owen James
Oh and another thing, I never got into the /sg/ Natalia fan club so why would I dream of her in this weird situation like that?
Eli Morgan
Washed up general, you're all losers.
Henry Parker
Lebfinn has that same dream but with Waffle Jabroni every single night.
Connor Nelson
Oh look the least relevant country in the Arab world
Connor Ross
The difference is that he IS obsessed over Waffle unlike me with Natalia
Asher Fisher
oh look a memeflag nigger
i almost pity your pathetic shallow existence, hopping from one dead /sg/ thread to another, i just came here to take a shit on your head, continue with your sad activities.
Kevin Carter
I mean I barely remember she exists until I see a pic of her and think oh right she's a thing
Caleb Sullivan
It be like that with a war that's cooling down

Yeah I don't know man, I doubt it means anything, iterpretation of dreams usually seems a bit far-fetched to me. I saw maybe 6 months ago a very detailed dream about nuclear apocalypse and its aftermath and was a bit spooked for a few weeks but so far such event has yet to occur.
Isaac Nguyen
Well, in Islam/Arabic traditions the dream is never taken literally, every scene I or you saw is symbolic of something, like what I mentioned seeing dogs means you have enemies in real life. Plus you could have been thinking about the apocalypse a little too much so you dreamed of it? Idk but Natalia was barely on my radar
