It was proper to take precautions back in january/february when the data was less clear and initial data looked a lot worse. But then as new data came out that the virus was completely overblown and the initial statistics were poorly done, I changed my analysis.

here's what happens: they did spread the flu - or some other or new kind of the flu - in several countries, maybe in most countries of the world. there might be several strains, some of them more aggressive, some of them less. there also might be some strains that allow quick immunity in order to control the epidemic and make it stop in at least some month. in this time frame some countries get kicked hard, especially those races that aren't used to the flu or similar diseases; Italy is a fine example, island genetics in GB or blacks in the US. They keep fueling the panic by selecting only a few "corona hospitals" where they send all the patients tested positive on corona - but we already know that a lot of tests didnt work properly and that a lot of these people actually might have just the common flu or even nothing at all. if you look at the death rates, it still looks way better than any influenza pandemic taking place.
sure, one might argue that the quarantine did its part, but the truth is, in most countries there isn't even a real quarantine, it's just more or less harshly enforced "social distancing" which never would stop a real deadly disease in reality. if you know one thing or two about viruses and bacteria you might realize sooner or later that there's literally no way around it except for total shutdown and not going outside EVER without a full hazmat suit.
