WE ARE ALL ESSENTIAL WORKERS

As stated in a thread from yesterday night, up until now no category of workers has ever found as much visibility in claiming their rights, nor has instilled a level of empathy in the general population as healthcare workers are doing right now during this troubled times.

They are doing it in the most arrogant and unsufferable way, posting those cringy selfies showing us how tired they are after their 12 hours shifts, asking us to abide to our goverments draconian measures and stay home to protect them while they're trying to save our lives; they are preying on our fears, and it is working like nothing else has ever worked before.

As someone that has worked in the hospitality industry, and that had to endure the same 12 or more hours shifts, dealing with injuries and other work related health issues, I think this is the time not to counter their claims for better working conditions, but to join in their fight and finally claim the same rights for ourselves, because despite what we've been told, we are all ESSENTIAL WORKERS.

It is also the right time, now that most people are stuck at home as part of an effort to deal with this pandemic, to sensibilize the general population on the importance of time and rest for every category of workers, to let people realize that time and health are our most important and limited source of wealth.

We have to do it in the most simple way, by creating and spreading posters like the one I present you in this thread, and in doing so we need to be clear, concise and use a bit of psychology.

As a guideline, I would ask you to state the following informations in such posters:

-A clear image of a distressed worker of any industry (the more categories we include the more people this campaign will touch).

-A request not to clap for us.

-The message that “everyone is essential” (no need to explain why, that will be done in the form of commentary by the people we reach).

-Possibly a small print disclaimer stating that we're not countering the claims of healthcare workers, but that we give our support (be humble and do not create friction between categories).

Remember that the aim is not to convince the public that we need to get back to work as soon as possible, bat that when we do get back to normality, we need get back to work without fear of our rights being trampled over and over again, without sacrificing all of our time and physical and mental health.

If we play it right, we can start an avalanche of never seen proportions.

Related picture is merely a template, I know you anons can do better than me.

It seems I forgot, as info to include, to state the amount of hours or some other issue you have to deal with as part of the job.

Where are the anons that were backing this Idea yesterday night?

It's time to do something guys!

bump because this seems pretty well thought out, nice

niggers tongue my anus

Do they do it 12 hours a day? cool, take a picture and make a poster bro ;)

almost seems like this place is only good at fighting over what's an happening and what's a nothingburger.

This could be an happening we create ourselves, but talking and acting are two different things.

Thanks user, glad the message reached at least one person.

Members of the armed forces are similarly lionised for no good reason, especially in the US but increasingly in the UK
