The elderly of today lived through the most prosperous time in human history. And they can choose to stay home in lockdown. That should even be recommended for the high risk. But not for every fucking person.
Also, even among the oldest group, death rate is only at about 15-30% depending on which figures you check. So most will still survive. But we shouldn't ruin the lives of everyone else for decades to come just to give the elderly a few more years on the gravy train.
