Why is it that good works can't outweigh sins?
I understand that we aren't worthy of heaven because we aren't pure or divine, but isn't it possible that the good that we do outweighs the bad? If one doesn't repent, does one sin really doom someone to hell if they've lived a life with far more good deeds than bad ones?

Define sin and define a good work.
So that a sinfull person cant just do good deeds so he can go to heaven. That's like allowing Hillary Clinton or bill gates to go to heaven because they donated money to a bunch of kids.
This is a massive oversimplification, but for the sake of discussion, lets call anything that hurts yourself, another, or goes against God's will that you knowingly partake in a sin, while anything that displays mercy or shows respect for God's will a good work.

Can't a sinful person just repent to go to heaven, not out of true regret? And if God can tell if someone is being sincere in repentance, can't he also tell if someone is being sincere in their works?
That’s what you get when you follow Judaism for the goy. It’s obvious that sins are a jewish mechanism to guilt trip believers into staying believers. Otherwise, you could technically strive for independence from the jew god. This is also the difference between the jew god and an actual good parent. A good parent strives for a future wherein his offspring can live out an independent existence. Jew god however exists solely to control every aspect of the life of his followers. That’s why the concept of sin is absolutely necessary, so that jew god can keep holding on to this control

The problem is that humans have INHERITED sin from Adam. No amount of works can make up for that. God's standards of justice are strict. Since we all have Adam's sin we TOO must die. However, that isn't fair because that's not our fault. So God sent his son to die on our behalf so we can be freed of sin.
Once a person repents, they must NOW WORK to keep their salvation and continue to maintain their spirituality. The devil will always be targeting you so it takes hard work and dedication to continue in God's path.

Think of it this way, sin means to miss the mark, it's an archery term.
So imagine a competition and a bunch of people shooting arrows at targets. And a judge is watching.
If you miss the target you "sin" if you keep missing you could at one time be disqualified from the tournament.
The person judging is also a King. And he saw that people kept missing, so the judge changed those rules.
So now the rules are, if you are loyal to the King, he will set up a way to keep the lights on for you at the field house after the tournament is over, you can shoot arrows at the target all you want until you learn to never miss. And it's ok if you miss the target. Keep trying. Don't intentionally aim away from the target. Aim at the target, but if you miss it's ok.
And in the meantime learn to stop aiming your arrows at each other.

Heaven is a place for Christ and his angels. It makes sense why somebody who has fapped, stolen, lied, cheated, etc would be blocked off from entering.
BUT...
God loves us and knows we have fallen into Satan's grasp, all of us have at least once. None of us are free of sin.
If we repent and place our faith in the Lord for salvation, we will be forgiven.
Through this faith the fruit of which is good works, which is why the bible says faith without works is dead.
Works won't save your soul, but faith will. And through true faith, TRUE FAITH, your devotion to the Lord and repentance will be evident in your spirit and actions.
Because only perfection pleases God. That would re instate the sacrifice.

Put aside hell for a moment. Do you think a few good acts here and there qualifies you for eternity in paradise? Do you think not killing or raping and helping at a soup kitchen once a year is worth infinite rewards?
You can't possible pay for that. But you can accept His gift.
Because God is a just judge and you commited murder (every sin creates death, so therefore you deserve death; reap what you sow), but say you also helped homeless people your whole life; if you told the judge to pardon you for murder because you helped homeless people your whole life he would laugh and give you the electric chair. Thats where Jesus comes in, he will pay the fine of death and you will be legally acquitted from your charges (fulfilling God as both loving and JUST), all you have to do is accept him and repent of your sins (theres not point paying the fine of a thief if you know he will steal again). Judaism is the law, Christ is the fulfillment of the Law. No man could fulfill the law, part of its purpose is to point to the only one who could satisfy it which is Jesus; Yeshua Ha'Maschiach.
Islam is wrong because they believe you can do works to get into heaven, they do not believe in Jesus. If Jesus did not die for our sins then all Gentiles will die in their sin aswell because only through blood can sin be cleaned (death is required or else God is not Just, the God of Islam is not Loving because he did not send his son to die as a ransom for all. Allah is not Yahweh). Gentiles do not need to be Jewish or follow old non-moral laws, Christ did that all for you, all he asks in return is you repent and believe in him as your Saviour.

"Good" works without faith in Christ are sinful because they are being done for a hollow, self-serving reason (Salvation, Enlightenment, Social Standing) and doing what you would do for God for something else is idolatry.

There's only one way into Heaven. Profess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and recognize that He died for your sins. You can't buy your way into Heaven. No amount of good you do will wash away the original sin and the sins you've accumulated over your life. Only the blood of Jesus Christ can wash away your sins.

Jesus as Savior, Son of God, and fulfillment of The Law is central to Jesus' own teachings. Jesus' entire message was that He came to save us because we are incapable of saving ourselves and we are only able to be truly selfless if we do it all for Him, not for ourselves.

every sin creates death, because everything which is not from God cannot create life. If it cannot sow life then it must sow death.
You may not directly kill someone but you contribute to the murder making you directly responsible in God's eyes. Say there is a button which you press and it kills a quarter of the cells in a certain persons body, there are four of you who press it. Many would say that the person who pressed it last actually "killed him" (assuming the person only dies after the button is pressed 4 times, bare with me), but God says that every man is equally responsible for his death. You may have not directly murdered someone but you may have unknowingly aided his death. Even by promoting a culture of death you are a murderer, say you are gay and you promote sodomy; sodomy increase the rate of death by stds, you may not of given someone an std but just by promoting that culture you have indirectly killed many people. You never know the extent of your sin no matter how small. Supporting any sinful way of life is supporting a culture of death.
Also, Jesus died for everyone's sin, so every time you sin you put Christ on the Cross making you a murderer aswell.

Jesus said ALL the law and prophets rest on 'love your neighbor'. Good works are ALL that matter, with good works being selfless action - not selfish faith in the holy spirit to console your emotions.

No. God is perfection, and to be with Him you need to be too. good people are believers for the most part anyway. And you never know what skeletons people have in the closet. Saving people from death multiple times would still not excuse you if you commit murder. There needs to be punishment that is universally fair whilst still upholding justice. Therefore all sin is sin in the eyes of God, who is without sin. And all will be Judged accordingly.
Also almost everyone sins on a daily basis. You probably cant do enough good deeds to outweigh this if you've lived a mostly sinful life (to even try you would be someone who has been born again) but that doesn't mean you shouldn't do good things. Faith without works is dead. But works are not what saves us
