By your dumb logic, I could punch the belly of a 6 months pregnant woman causing an involuntary abortion and I would get the same punishment as if I punched a random guy, since the fetus isn't alive thus I'm not murdering anyone.

There's 8000 years of law, language, science, culture, religion and history that rock solid confirms birth is the beggining of new human life.
How old are you? Not a personal question but there is no one in our society that counts thei age form the moment of conception. No law confers personhood then. We don't celebrate your Fertilizer Day. Like the transition of a larva into a fly, we call it the Miracle of Birth for a reason.
