we do, but the cartels have a huge chokehold on every top official, form local governments to top federal oficials. they have a very powerfull saying down here, if you have a position of power you get a message from them, they come to you and just say, PLATA O PLOMO, wich means, you take our money or you take our bullets, if you stand up to them you end up dead on a ditch, if you work with them you get cars, houses and money. Its quite common to hear that politicians, federal oficials, or army commandants get dead by cartels. its like a cancer that keeps infiltrating despite the quimotherapy, we cant have anti cartel forces because they get infiltrated immediately, we cant start a war against the cartels because obama sends them guns to fight against our military forces. its fucking rotten.

Steps to being a superpower:

1 Use indoor plumbing

2 Control pollution so the rivers aren't full of shit and catch fire and breathing the air doesn't give you lung cancer

3 Don't have your country run by drug cartels or fanatics that want to kill half the population

4 Have a population that doesn't steal electricity or shit in the street

5 Have police that people think they can bribe or have to pay off whenever they are pulled over

If India can stop throwing all of their refuse just... on the fucking floor and in rivers, if they can stop shitting in the street and giving people jobs to climb through shit in the sewers and stop bathing in shit for some reason, if they can get on top of the countless scams run throughout the country, enact some form of protection for women, introduce basic hygiene throughout society, street vendors to mainstream hotels, tackle the invasive animal species and begin paying people adequately.... The problem with cartels is how they terrorize mid and small businesses, mostly to keep their power, once this is regulated we could achive a proper economic growth, Mexico needs as of today at least 4 times BIP so the gov could provide a lifestyle at the likes of japan.
