16 and didnt like it.

19

Never did

T. 40 year old

45. Never moved out. Parents died a few years ago, turned their room into a cigar smoking den.

16

same, did not enjoy it but i learned a lot.

Nice . Do you have your own business or you have job ?

College ?

17 but im almost 40
late 90s was a different era, its nothing like starting out now.

What happened ?

Right on . What do you do all day ?

22. Was single, flipping houses. After the year lease was up, decided it was fucking retarded taking on so much extra financial burden when I didn't have a family of my own at the time. Moved back in with parents, renovated the three car garage into a 800sqft studio addition with insulation, drywall, a ceiling and laminate floors. Moved out again at 25 and now my dad spends 99% of his time in that garage because it's nicer than the rest of his house and soundproof. I feel like it was a good trade off.

Worked a lot of restaurants before I found out people worked at other places besides restaurants. In my 30s now with 3 white kids and one in the oven.

25. now 29. moved back in

city living is for faggots and women

26. In most of continental Europe, it's pretty common to stay with the parents if you happen to attend University in the same city that you grew up in. I've toyed with the idea of moving out earlier, but part time jobs while studying never got me past the threshold that would let me live without worries.

Does that gig pay well ?

I was 28
It sucked I wish I never got married, bought a house, had kids.
I have no money, no free time, no fun, no entertainment, no energy
It’s nice that I have abunch of healthy white children but at what cost? The world is ugly and complete shit. All I see is shit. Our freedom is gone, our planet is destroyed, or people are ruined, our future is fucked. They have taken everything of value and beauty from us and turned this into a world of shit.

Depends what part of it you're in. When I moved out, no. I was salary with no commission, and while I made a lot more than most people in my age, I was making dick. Years later though I've moved up to the more money handling portion rather than the management portion and am making commission, so much more.

Faggots , degenerates , drug addicts and welfare mamas . But ya metro areas are super fucking pricey and things are only getting worse from the chink virus .

I was 19 when my parents kicked me out, because they thought some tough love would cure my depression. I was homeless for several months, and 16 years later I still hate their worthless asses and refuse to talk to them.

I left for college at 18 and never went back to living at home full time.

Only stayed the summer after freshman year at home and got a job second semester. Was paying my own rent and living off campus from sophomore year on.

It was hard at times, I was definitely late on rent at least once, had the gas shut off once.

I wouldn’t trade the experience for the world though.

Did you bounce back ?

Sounds like he had to do a lot of gay sex stuff for little pay and he regrets it

18 years old, i'm 33 now. Didn't have had any pressure to leave my parental home at all but in hindsight it would've been better if i had stayed two or three more years before leaving, i 100% wasn't ready for the kind of freedom that came with moving out that early.

19, I bought a townhouse. I had never lived on my own before and the very first morning I didn’t know what to do since no one was there but me. End up being the best times of my life.

23, after uni with a girlfriend. I was lucky though since I had a well paying job and making rent was a breathe

Wish it happened sooner tbhfm, living at home was a total cock block

riveting story you reddit spacing boomer

28, admittedly, old.
Waited for house prices to be low, and wanted one that was done so I wouldn't have to put time in it myself.
Living on myself was great until the gf moved in, now I need to hear her nagging about pointless shit like carpets, cushions on the couch or fucking useless plants everywhere.

28 and never moved out. Working on math graduate school and don't ever expect a women to want me so I'm just gonna keep living home.

18-22
moved back
left for a year at 24
moved back again
went into save mode
20% down on a house at 29 another 20% for remodeling in a 95% white exurb.
4bed 2bath.

18. It was easy. Dad paid for everything until I got a solid job.

Sounds based and comfy.

Are you short ?

26yo and still living at my parent's.
I got my medicine degree last year so I'll probably move out in 1-2 years after saving up some money with the first jobs

29. I took a shitload of courses in college, because I was a retard. Then I worked an OK job for a few years while still living with my parents because I had no idea where I wanted to move. I eventually moved to the city because I felt it was kinda pathetic to be living at my parents house when I'm almost 30, and never dated because the whole thing was kinda embarrassing mostly because the household was a complete shitshow. Now I'm in my 30s and want to start my own business but can't cover all my expenses to quit my job. I saved up a ton of money, but it's nowhere near enough to even sustain myself. My job also has become the most soul draining thing ever, because pretty much all the things that made it OK before are gone.

I don't even know if it was worth it. Stay at home dealing with a shitshow everyday but also save money or moving out just to gain nothing but peace of mind.
