I'm half Polish and my Polish family lives in the midwest. They are becoming just normal Americans but the grandparents still know how to speak Polish and we have Polish food at our family gatherings. My Grandfather loved Polka music and told my Mom that Jesus Christ was Polish. If I ever saw my Grandfather he had already been to Church that day. The most devout Catholic I've ever known.
