Most of Ireland was conquered by various Germanic tribes, including Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. One of those tribes that took a piece of Ireland, the Scoti, a Germanic tribe that came during the great migration period; genocided the Picts (native Brythonics) who inhabited what was 'Pictland' and is now 'Scotland'.
There are some native 'Brythonics' on Ireland, just as there are in England. The most pure concentrations of these groups are the Cornish, Welsh and Bretons (Norther France, Brittany). England, Ireland and Scotland are all majority Germanic, and the tribes that have dominated them for the last millenia and a half have been Germanic.
Trying to make out that there is some 'Celtic brotherhood' between Germanic Scots and Irish is absolutely retarded. Trying to make out that you are closer to the Welsh or Cornish and have some common ground to hate on the English is even more retarded. You are closer to the English than you are to the Welsh.

Psst. It's very low. The vast majority of the population of Ireland is situated on the Eastern Coast. Very, very, VERY few Scottish people live in the Northern-most regions.
Also, Germanics and Celts are essentially exactly the same genetically. There was some Roman and possibly Phoenician admixture in parts of Britain and Ireland, but by and large; the people who inhabited the region had migrated from the same place that the Germanics would later migrate from. Anyone trying to tell you that you can exactly work out who is who is either lying to you or over-emphasising stuff like Roman admixture.

The Irish have pretty much always been worthless failures, but the Scots were a very established and very capable nation. They were economically self-sufficient, participated in pan-European projects like the Reconquista and aided the Teutonic Knights in repelling the Mongol Hordes, often fighting alongside the English as Christian brothers. They even had Imperial dreams and had their own small colonies (which might have bankrupted them) up until the point where the English and Scottish crowns became one, at which point the larger English population became emphasised. The Scots continued to be a successful, industrious and capable people up until very recently where they started turning to heroin for sustenance, Mel Gibson for their history and decided to LARP as sheep-shaggers for some reason still indecipherable to the best minds of the world.

You know what lad, I'm sorry. The vast majority of 'pro-Celtic' sentiment is specifically anti-English, but after a quick skimming of the thread; you have done no such thing. I would love a form of Irish nationalism that emphasised your own glories and achievements instead of antagonising and demonising the English/British.
I do think including the Scots as 'Celtic' is ridiculous (about as ridiculous as the Scots glorifying the victories of the Picts - a people their ancestors genocided - over the Romans as their own), but there are arguments to be made for Ireland as a whole. The Celts were wiped out by the Romans my dude. People of the British Isles are primarily Anglo-Saxon with a mix of Dane and French. There's a good reason why all over the modern world Irish were discriminated against. Irish are the original "mutts" and so low IQ they spent every paycheck they earned as immigrants on beer.
