America is a soulless dumping ground with no culture or reason to feel any sense of loyalty to your community or patriotism.

My theory is that the teen brain is naturally rebelious and not fully formed for calculating risks. So instinctively the teens feel victimized. Add into that the introduction of testosterone and the stiffling of aggressive behavior, cteates a situation where teens will explode in violence. They need an outlet. Maybe a punching bag workout or even a mid day boxing session for kids with a beef with each other would help greatly.

If you had a laser that could kill a human, why would you not want to watch the spectacle? You need to have eye protection and fire control equipment if you are going to use a high powered laser at all. Especially in doors. Be careful for beam reflection too. A laser powerful enough to kill a human will bounce off surfaces that you think don't reflect light. (Most surfaces actually reflect a little bit of light and with a high powered laser, it will send a dangerous amount of light back at your eyes or body, should you ever have a human killing laser.)

first thing that hit me when I got min-wage retail and restaurant jobs in HS.
Unlike school teachers, these were adults that really wanted to teach me stuff, and 90% was semi-interesting lifelong revelations. My mom was plenty handy in the kitchen, but these guys showed me how the pros prep vegis. Actually lot of chemistry, body motion and timing if you want to mop and wax floors right.

Like all Civil Service, schools tend to become a collection chamber for barely performing generally unlikable people.
Funny, kids of all type, smart, dumb, Black, White, American, Foreign, boys, girls....will all quickly be able to name the same teachers as best and worst in the school. Parents too. Yet that has zero effect on teachers. If anything it tends to convince the good teachers "I can do better elsewhere".
It really struck me when our HS best (and best looking) teacher totally sided with the whole public school tenure keep the bad teachers thing. It was like "you too, Brutus?" I guess its like becoming a cop. They will weed out anyone who is not on board with "the program" in rookie year, regardless of ability to do the job.

School was hell. You feel constantly abandoned, betrayed, and then when the day is done you have 3 hours of homework on your platter, but you don't want anything to do with school anymore. So you don't do the homework, get bad grades, pressure from the parents, pressure inside the school, bullying, violence, drugs, it never fucking stops.
It's not shocking that some kids break under the pressure. I got bullied for only half a year and I was close to bringing a knife.
And now, 8 years later you realise it was all for nothing. Learned more in half a year on the job than I did in 14 years of school.
