I give it another 2 points for being cool about this fact, and another 1 point for talking about lobbying and gently redpilling kids on a few different episodes.

It's good I really liked it and could relate to Shinji a lot. However, it seems to paint separation as the source of suffering, hence when the AT field goes away you lose yourself and join together as some bizarre singular lifeform. The truth about suffering though is that it doesn't come from separation or the AT field. Yes people can be hurt by being separate but suffering is different it is an evil that lives in your head that pulls you into the pits of hell. This evil lives in the world around us too. So the world of Shinji's dreams where people are nice to him and he doesn't have to get in the damn robot is actually possible it's a world without evil. It doesn't have to be a world without separation we can still be people but without all the bad nasty things we have to go through...

Its actually true. A lot of evangelions creators hold right wing beliefs. Christian overtones in all of Gainax's work. Heck the character designer for Evangelion is being called a "right wing asshole" because he thinks a statue about comfort women in korea needs to taken out of an art exhibit.
