Update on my dad. Doctors said the virus hit the nervous system and now that he is extubated, his lungs get better. They said he could follow simple orders, such as hold the hand or blink, but not more complex ones such as blink twice. Asked them if it is reversible, they said normally yes. What is known about the virus and the nervous system for patients at the ICU?.
