Everybody in CA and NV where I live got sick as fuck with some kind of persistant flu with a dry cough back in Nov-Dec. People would be sick for weeks. Some people would start to get better after a week or so and then bam it would kick back in. Most of the people I talked to said they had gotten the flu vax that year. My wife had it and she couldn't shake the cough for almost two months.
This could also explain why this thing is nuking NYC but it's so mild in CA. Maybe people there already had it and are resistant.
