all you need to do is raise the amount of calories your body needs even when idle. you do that by gaining muscle mass. and you do that by lifting 2-3 times a week for an hour. once you have some muscle you can eat a lot more without gaining weight. its really easy.

I do the eat one meal a day thing to lose weight, it works. Usually eat at about 4pm a huge meal, then the same at 4pm the next day, the rule are you can eat as much as you want during that meal, hard to choke down 2000+ calories in one meal if you’re not eating pure sugar crap. Even if you eat only 1800 calories. You will still lose weight if you’re active.
This, and you don't even need to be that extreme. I try to eat 5 meals a week. As long as you keep busy and don't think about food you'll lose weight. I've lost 50lbs over the course of 18 months.

user, that's not going to fucking happen. It's unrealistic. A better plan is to every day, briskly walk somewhere and back that takes about 1 hour. That is sustainable, which is the key. One day when you're feeling spry, do it twice in a row or twice in a day.Then add a few pushups at the end. Then at the beginning. Etc, etc, etc. When you've done that for two months or so, you can be fairly confident you're in good enough shape to start taking things to the next level. Busting your ass on your bike, or maybe buying some light dumbells and some light resistance training. It would be better to view this as the start of a decades-long project rather than have any kind of near-term goals. You'll find if you have zero goals, everything you accomplish is like finding $100 on the ground.
Also don't do some drastic thing food wise. Just start cleaning it up. Quality food, not fried shit. If you're going to have a burger, grind/cut it yourself, cook it yourself, put quality shit on it. On the other hand if you fuck up don't get all hung up on it, just do your best the next day and try not to fuck that day up. Good luck, user.

Depends. Most people who are obese (no a little overweight, but obese) have had this problem since childhood and once they become adults, their hormones are basically shot and are unable to regulate their appetite and sense of hunger like they're supposed to. The sad truth is that the overwhelmingly vast majority of people who lose weight end up gaining it back and then some and this is because of the hormonal barrage on their system, demanding them to crave, eat, and binge.

Also, exercise is almost laughably ineffective when it comes to weight loss. Do you have any idea how long you would have to work out to "burn off" a candy bar? I can give you a million reasons as to why you should exercise, everyone should exercise, but weight loss isn't one of those reasons.
If you can change your diet and resist the hormonal urge to overeat (which isn't likely), you should lose a considerable amount of weight. Keeping it off is the difficult part.

Dude losing weight properly takes a long time. I was 330 last year and have been doing CICO and high protein for a year and have gotten down to 265. There is no shortcut. If you look like that, you're going to be wheezing on that bike before you even hit your first 1/2 mile.

And even if you lift weights and then go over your caloric needs for the day, thats literally what you want unless youre on a cut. You can build muscle is youre losing weight, but once you have some muscle it gets way easier to lose weight.

Weird. I don't count my calories. I basically just eat and drink whatever I want; I often purposefully choose meals that provide more calories, in fact. I consistently stay around 150lbs. Kinda skinny, sure but I just don't have time to go to the gym or a place to store weights. Very low body fat though.

Took me about 5 1/2 months and i was able to get down to 383 pounds. don't give up. it is worth it. i went from not being able to walk far to i am able to walk 2 miles without needing to sit down 1 time.

i would say look into workouts that can help tighten your skin. i have seen people who have lost alot of weight and have loose skin. they end up going with a work out that helps tighten the skin around them. again it takes time but if you have taken the time to lose the weight then the time to tighten the skin is the next goal.

130 kg @ 11%~ BF. When i was younger I was a fat kid, then I slimmed, then I broke my leg and put on weight, then I lost it but as a man now I filled out.
My dad and grandfather are huge men, we are thick people. I started doing CoC training and picked up a 1# and started without any real lift training, deadlifted 130kg after my leg break no issue, so worked on that. Nothing power lifting as such yet, but PB after broken legs is 130kg deadlift and 100kg bench, I can squat about 100kg but its hard on the old ankle.
Or drink vinegar in the morning and coffee and skip a meal. If you go down to 2 meals you will lose the weight fast and easy. After a week you don't even mind it. ~user that lost 100 pounds this way.
