The point is that the Q phenomenon is used as leverage for votes. Nothing ever comes out of it, but it's alluring as all conspiracies are, especially when sprinkled with enough truth. Since the Q movement has grown, politicians and individuals with particular interests can leave subtle hints of encouragement and suddenly everyone is on their side.
