I genuinely think everyone affiliated with NPR being shot in the head would be a significant positive for America.

Both NPR and PBS used to be based until kikery found them.

NPR still has the occasional interesting mini documentary, but it seems to be mostly left up to the local affiliates nowadays. The few interviews they had last year for the 50th anniversary of the moon landing were pretty good, but most everything else isn't too exciting.

npr does a lot of subtle mind fuckery. example: when they talk about people they don't like, but can't call them nazis, they add low, ominous bass over the dialogue at low volume. they will only tell one side of a story. when presenting a narrative that will melt under scrutiny, they run anecdotal sob stories. god i hate npr more than shit in a sock

They also have really ramped up the "soft" stuff -- emotional appeals, political presuppositions buried in ostensibly apolitical entertainments, unchallenged flat out false statements, having people like Davod Brooks "represent" rightists when they make any pretense to balance. Reveal does this thing where they have a wierd fake conversation (like an 80s aspirin ad) in which they reiterate and clarify all their talking points very slowly.

They've been doing this grinding emotional appeal thing since 2016 where every ten seconds they happen to generally comment that "we're living in dark times, it is dark now, it is always dark, now that Trump ate the sun." The effect has been to burn out and turn off Trump haters because it's been constant.

And the other thing is they have these self-commercials boasting about how honest and objective they are and how they give airtime to all sides.

You'd be amazed by how many of their listeners legitimately believe that. My entire family listens to this shit and whenever I suggest that they have a clear leftist bias they get almost aggressively defensive; insisting that it doesn't. I hate midwit white liberals more than any kike or nigger: smart enough to understand what they're listening to, but too dumb to question it. Feeling smart is a helluva drug.

I interned inside WGBH Boston for an entire summer. It’s full of uninspired media creators who don’t want to put any effort into making original content. It’s the same uninspired schlock they’ve been making for the past 50 years and everyone working there is just coasting by on an easy if not mediocre paycheck.
