The 2016 election was pretty much the final nail in the coffin and anyone who has been here for a while can see this place is dying a slow death and I don't think there is any way to stop it. Everyday is a slew of shit quality threads, multiple threads of the same topic, 1 post OP's who don't even engage in their own thread, a lot bait threads, repeated threads spammed everyday, and new people coming on here who haven't lurked at all and act like this place is some sort of new reddit hangout or something. Shit is bad and I gotta ask, is there any where else to go on the internet anymore where you have freedom of speech like on pol?

If you ignore the obvious extreme political bias of mods/devs there it is a really great tool for communicating and organizing and sharing content.
Not saying it's a smart move to use discord for this purpose due to those biases, it was a good idea but with the wrong platform. We need to try to find another platform to do it I think.

I think I actually have a solution to this problem that may be quite obvious aside from ignoring/sageing slide threads.
We create a shitton of redpill threads, if there can be /cvg/ threads all day every day we can have redpill threads all day every day.
I think a portion of what we'd consider slidethreads might actually be just newfags who lack the discipline to lurk so they start threads asking questions that seem retarded to us.
We must educate these newfags, if we can turn even just a third of them into real Yas Forumsacks we will not only see a real difference in this board, but also have more people who are redpilled out in the world.
