Sometimes I sit around and wonder how the other half even lives. Is it just misery all the time? How are you not killing yourself right now?
>How does it feel being an "essential" employee?
>How does it feel working at Walmart restocking toilet paper getting cooofed on?
>How does it feel to be so out of options in life that you have no choice but to expose yourself to a deadly disease for minimum wage?
>How does it feel knowing there are people like me sitting at home all day with their loving families, completely safe from the cooof, going on walks, relaxing in hot tubs, drinking pina coladas, phoning in to work a few times a day, and still making 6 figures?
>How does it feel knowing you will get the minimum $1200 Trumpbux just to keep the lights on in your shitty hovel while get almost $4000 because I have 3 kids and a trad wife who treats me like a king?
>How does it feel knowing your greasy kike savior just dropped out of the race and now its gonna be 4 more years of people like me absolutely shitting on peasants like you?
I'm honestly surprised you dregs can even look someone like me in the eye when we see each other. Pretty sure its because you just don't know how much better my life is than yours. Its the only explanation for why you haven't killed yourself yet.
Locomotive engineer here, I’ve been deemed essential despite not transporting essential materials. My ours have been reduced but thankfully, I still get a 40hr paycheck, despite only working a single shift. That said, I make over 6 figures annually. Not all essential employees are Walmart employees.
Chase Smith
I have a small concrete business, mostly work by myself unless i need to get some workers for a big pour.
Its been nice, weather is beautiful, breeze is nice, and there's a lot less people than usual. It would be nice if things were like this all the time desu. I just wish I could get back in the gym.
Christian White
Also feels good to keep saving money while half the people i see are out of work. I have a few acres in the countryside and I really want to put up a building as soon as possible.
Ryder Ross
Yea I make decent money in manufacturing and im essential as well. OP is a fag.
Matthew Morgan
Fire Protection I’m gonna not be poor, Glad!
Jaxson Cox
OP is a demoralizing shill fag.
Mason Martinez
>tfw I grossed 12k CAD during the last 4 weeks instead of taking the TrudeauBucks
eh, im okay with this
Connor Reyes
Delivery boy here. Got a bike and started training/working. People treat me with respect and make me feel important. This happening is the best thing that could've happened.
How does it feel knowing that I have 7 wives, all supermodels below the age of 20, and I make 50 million dollars a month not even working? Bet you just feel so bad now, huh? Wanna kill yourself yet? Are you jealous?
These posts are bullshit.
Owen Price
based and literally me
brb work 30 hours a week from home, during which time I fuck off for 2 hour lunches, random naps, workout, etc brb six figures
meanwhile fat nurses are dying and working themselves to death making less money
KEK
Anthony Lee
I'm an engineer myself and get to work entirely form home. I'm glad I can avoid the coofers but also thankful for these essential workers that keep the economy churning. Eat a bag of aids laden dicks OP
Nicholas Wood
Not really. I oversee an operation deemed "essential" in 12 of the 40 states my company has a footprint in. I can't imagine showing up every day for $12.00/hr during this shit.
Logan Ortiz
How does it feel producing Specialty Alloys for the Aerospace, Defense, and Medical Industry? Making $130k a year? Still having a steady paycheck coming in during this shitshow?
Welder from the rust belt here. Lost 1 day of work over this horseshit. Business as usual.
David Moore
***gets laid off next week***
Josiah Moore
Work in a shelter and considered essential. Residents still bitching and complaining at me when I tell them we are doing our best to accommodate for this situation. They still refuse to social distance and yell when. I tell them to stop being soo close.
Caleb Edwards
Also they still paying me my shit pay.
Nathan Phillips
Plumber here, I'm getting paid in full and I havent been to work in weeks
As med student I am considered essential too, sucks would like to study for my exam
Cameron Taylor
Machine operator, straight weekends. I'm glad to still be working but have been bored as fuck lately since nobody wants to hangout, gym is closed, volunteer work is cancelled, etc. Been thinking of getting an adjustable workout bench and some dumbbells for home. Been going for long walks lately and will eventually do some running. Other than that, just been drinking and listening to music.
I'm in the defense industry... rolling for war with china.
William Baker
Electrician here. Making fuck loads of good overtime while Houston freaks out. Now that the traffic is down, the worst part of my day is dealing with drywaller bullshit.
Grayson Wood
Pretty good. We'll probably have monuments commemorating our "sacrifice" in every town square a couple years from now. PROTIP: it's not nearly as bad as they're saying but let's just pretend it is.
Oilfield industry. Essential employee by every definition.
...sales, working from home now. My salary is super comfy, I have full benefits, and now... I can basically start my workday whenever I like, in my pajamas, from the comfort of my own home.
>1200 trumpbux
...that's not even a third of what my stereo system costs - I think I'll manage just fine on my own.
Chase Miller
Farmer here. Still busting my ass 12+ hrs a day to feed ungrateful shits like OP
Jack Bennett
Your paycheck is unironically the only thanks someone deserves for doing their job.
Austin Baker
Imagine being a smug burger. The lifestyle you speak of is coming to an end, your country is imploding because you voted in a narcissistic moron as your commander. The country is burning before your eyes. Enjoy your hot tub and pina colada it might be your last. Seethe you mutt.
Caleb Smith
I ain't a cunt about it - I love farmers - hard working salt-of-the-earth dudes.
It's the nigger-tier food/hospitality/retail shitstains who spend half their workday instagramming and then whine about 15/hr pay that earn my disgust.
Keep the world fed, farmbro - you are aight.
Andrew Nelson
kiwi grumpy he only has two weeks left
Andrew Stewart
Hotel user clerk here. Considered essential pursuant to the March 19th 2020 memorandum by Homeland Security. Just waiting for them to change my hotel into a makeshift hospital. 350 room property maybe doing 20 rooms a night. People are still traveling and not quarantining.
Nolan Gutierrez
Same. Essential. 20 hours/week since Corona. Full time paycheck. I'm just worried about people working minimum wage paid out by the hour. My brother works in postal service. The poor bastard. I really hope to god that people with useless jobs get what's coming to them.
Sure I am potentially getting exposed, but I was getting exposed to shit before hand. Only difference is I still get my salary and I am averaging 48 hours of OT a week at $70 an hour. So it's not horrible, especially with the whole half the country could be without a job.
Sebastian Brown
I make medical components in a machine shop. Lick my essential nutsack.
Wyatt Robinson
>during this shit. Which is what? An over glorified flu? I'm working from home, so not complaining, but this whole "pandemic" feels overblown as fuck
Cooper Scott
>tfw essential worker but also 6-figure wendy chef
Don’t brag about thinking you're better than people because of your situation. One day your situation could change.
Connor Reed
Emergency Management. Loving the overtime and don't give a fuck about COVID-19 because 1) i'm pretty sure i already had it back around Christmas and 2) I have a good enough mask/suit that anything short of a direct nuclear strike isn't going to fuck me up.
Colton Scott
> B2B software team lead making features for thousands of customers > Releasing stuff to keep them open w/o having to touch coofers > Call in in the morning to see where the juniors are, crack jokes and stuff for 2 hours > Play video games through call > Play video games while deployments run > Make cool code and shit > Totally normal to get a curbside ribeye from a steakhouse now
Please for the love of christ tell me you are wearing proper PPE?
Our Metro area uses AMR for EMS and it literally came down to the county telling them we would suspend their contract if their retard medics didn't start wearing their PPE.
We had dozens of police and fire out on sick because of exposure courtesy of AMR.
Chase Torres
Nurse here its fun getting free stuff even though all i do is type on the computer for 8 hours
Robert Clark
>imagine being a non essential worker and thinking only grocery store clerks are essential If your job isn't essential to society what value is your life?
obv bait but essential workers dont nec make minimum wage. Gotta keep the trains running
Aiden Reed
I have a bartender buddy making 700 a week doing nothing. Meanwhile I'm an essential for a defense contractor making 700 a week take home. He gets paid the same as me for sitting on his ass while I have to help defend the country, while being heavily exposed in a production plant, with the only hope that someone I work with gets the virus so they can shut down for a few days. Isn't quite fair.
Essential, still working 40, still getting trumpbux, hazard bonus, but not exposed. Also not living in a coof pit libtard city or riding pubic transportation. Not too worried really.
Ryder Reyes
We do. We have had to change our strategy. We send a canary in now. N95, goggles on all calls. If no fever or other covid symptoms we can reuse it. Otherwise its tossed after. If it's a known covid gown as well.
Calls take longer as we try to just have one provider make contact and do it all solo, if it is possible.
I work in an affluent rural area, "affluent by rural standards". Our call volume has dropped more than half. People are staying in doors and heading the advice. I've been doing alot of phone work instead of making contact and also having folks load up in private vehicles and have family drive them instead of making contact.
If this little experiment becomes the norm, and we dont go back to running bullshit. There is going to be major restructuring. The private guys who do BLS and bullshit may be out of a job.
Jacob Rivera
Sounds like bull shit. Bars are shut down, and I've never heard of a salaried bartender, so how is your buddy making any money?
Levi Nguyen
You could’ve just called this a NEET pride thread, you broke cunt.
Matthew Baker
Hrs probably telling the truth. Unemployment pays around 600 a month. I’m sure his friend is collecting.
Adrian Taylor
Probably a $700 unemployment check, although it does seem kind of steep for a bartender.
David Morales
600 a week.
Brayden Reyes
I work night shift as a “dock worker”. I make $24.50 to sit up here browse Yas Forums, listen to music, read, whatever I want and I work on average maybe 2 - 3 hours out of my 10 hour shift.
I also work with 2 other employees and leave before the morning crew / drivers come. Feels good.
OP how does it feel to be legally retarded?
John Cooper
>trains, planes, logistics networks, medical personnel, manufacturing plants, grocery stores, gas stations, banks, insurance, politicians, military and emergency personnel. seriously what are you doing if you aren't essential?
Nathaniel Sullivan
If they report tips, their unemployment will reflect that. I know a bartender that clears six figures three nights a week. NOT an easy job though, at one if the most packed clubs, its gotta be hell.
