It's not about strength. 5G (in so far as the fear mongering is concerned) just means using previously unused bandwidth from mmWaves. More bandwidth, faster data. The catch is mmWaves behave more like light than radio waves. So they are directional and can be blocked by matter (by dissipating heat into them). It could conceivable be a skin cancer issue maybe?
