For those who don’t know, chloroquine is basically synthetic quinine which is found in cinchona bark and can be taken by chewing it and spitting out the build up every few minutes. hydroxychloroquine also lowers the pH of your bloodstream in addition to the effects of chloroquine; while not a perfect substitute, this effect by also be achieved by drinking water mixed with baking soda, in spite of baking soda being a general alkalizer.
So, again, while not a perfect substitute for HCQ, a similar effect can be achieved by chewing cinchona bark (be careful not to OD) and drinking a moderate amount of baking soda dissolved in water
Quick note on baking soda; it’s amphiprotic. It behaves like a base in water or for anything with a pH that is lower than itself. This means it will raise pH. But if you put baking soda in the presence of a strong base, it will work like an acid and drop the pH slightly. But for most practical purposes, you will see it act like a base since it accepts protons in water.
I would like to note that your blood uses the bicarbonate ion (the ion in baking soda that is responsible for its ability to moderate pH) to buffer any changes in pH. This means that bicarbonate is being used as an acid or a base depending on what it comes in contact with.

coughing is when your body realizes an irritation in the respiratory system and is trying to expel it. by the time it has gotten to that point, the virus has already been in your body for a while. this is how sneezes and vapor from your breath can get on surfaces before symptoms are exhibited. this is why they simply suggest washing your hands regularly, cleaning surfaces and covering your mouth to avoid infection/infecting others, as well as avoiding long-term near-contact with people
i don't think "asymptomatic" really is a thing, except for this: COVID-19 is not a particularly strong virus and targets mostly the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions or compromised immune systems. i think most "asymptomatic" people actually do/did have symptoms but they were so subtle due to their greater overall health that they hardly felt anything. after the fact, i bet most "asymptomatic" people will be seen to be young adults, with the incidence greatly decreasing as the brackets get older, and they just never noticed very mild symptoms

none taken, dont worry I would say a bit of both, HCQ is a household name here, don't know much about US but it was here and many already have a stock of it in their houses because of malaria (which isn't there anymore) but people still take it in small doses. but also a lack of testing obviously, the shit tier hygiene is I would say, not a meme completely but the ones which go viral are most often than not from villages. stuff from villages of a third world country looks brutal but majority of them have good sanitation practices since they relate it to god.
