What's supposed to be an abberation has been assimilated into the mainstream. What's really going on here? Has this whole situation been made to be bigger than what it is so that somebody(ies) can profit in some form or another?

What should happen after all of this is that people start demanding shorter hours and more free time for what they're paid. There's really no reason for everything to be open 24 hours a day and this whole situation has proved that. It's also proved how useless Hollywood is.

For example, why do we have to continue to physically show up for work day in and day out when this situation has shown that such requirements aren't necessary given that we have the technology to work remotely?

And THIS is exactly why there is suddenly such a huge push to get everyone back to work ASAP. You can't have the normies realizing that that much of "normal" life is a sham. As for working from home, I agree with you. With the technology we have today there are lots of jobs that can be done without ever having to go into the office. Of course, if you have people working from home then it might actually help the nuclear family since theoretically moms could work from home instead of sending the kids off to daycare. Yeah I have a buddy who goes into work day in and day out in an office environment that he really isn't too fond of and he's working remotely now so I asked him,

It makes sense, really. Think of the amount of time it saves. Some people spend an hour commuting one way. So that's 2 hours a day on top of whatever their morning routine is. So now that people are working from home they've got an additional 3 or so hours in their day. They can work efficiently and get their work done earlier in the day or spread it out throughout the day if they need to get other things done.
