Why did the USA never adopt the BCG (M. bovis) vax against TB?
I feel like a conspiracy is afoot
BCG Vax
The vaccine isn't safe/efficacious enough to warrant immunizing the entire population. TB is rather rare in the US and is only found in marginalized population (prisoners, homelesses, etc). In other countries it's more widespread and thus the vaccine is more useful
It’s the easiest way to tell if someone is a boomer or from a third world country, we stopped in the 60’s because it wasn’t needed anymore
I mean TB used to be fairly common here, but long ago. Overall I agree with you.
I believe the BCG vax correlates with lower rates of autoimmunity, unlike all the other vaccines (afaik)
I'm speaking kind of generally obviously.
Did West Germany do the BCG vax into the 80s?
I know someone from Germany born in the 80s but I think they had the BCG vax... or were they a spy and this was the giveaway?
I tested positive for TB but i suspect it was a false positive. Had to the 6 months of Isonaiazid anyway.
ohh i have the smallpox scar myself
it has some relation to disease outside of TB I just can't remember what.
also Barry Marshall is a chad, same with Robin Warren.
The top one looks more like my smallpox scar.
LOL anyone with the BCG scar has like an extra 10% resistance to coronavirus, but it doesn't do shit if you get it now
