It's not a government lock down. The federal government issued no such order to restrict movement within the United States. Some state governments are limiting movement in some areas. I happen to live in a state whose governor has left the decision to restrict or maintain businesses/personal freedoms to the individual citizens of the state.

Rights aren't granted to you by the state. any state. They're god given, and no matter where you're born, you have them. You, despite being a euro, have an intrinsic RIGHT to bear arms. the degree to which you defend this, and excercise it, is a question of social taboo and contracts. Our bill of rights is a reminder of such, not a gaurantee of anything, because no earthly power can do that, other than you, or death.
This is actually why systems that purport to straddle this middle ground are more dangerous than helpful. Take my nation, for example. The illusion of freedom and choice keeps our population docile. People are convinced they defend their rights at the ballot box, and they can always vote out the infringing parties. but that's not realistic, and sometimes the threats are more dire than waiting to vote, however having that social contract ensuring the ability to vote hinders action escalating the conflict to a more violent level, because it threatens normalcy and the status quo.
Whereas in a system of monarchy, what are your options, realistically? you're not waiting to vote. you make an appeal to their good nature. They're evil, and need stopped. So you revolt.

But equally obvious, a rational state would ensure that it's citizens were free to engage in their right to the fullest extent it's able to. This means that when someone levies "consequences" to your freedom of speech, the state takes your side in this dispute, not theirs. It's a very simple nuance that has been turned on it's head.

That our states does not protect or aid freedoms at all anymore is another matter entirely, and completely correct. Every western country is a socialist, totalitarian monstrosity and all the citizens of the west are slaves, with no real property, no real nothing, only the pretense of the things their ancestors had.
