Politically, what do you think of when you picture the state of Maine?

Politically, what do you think of when you picture the state of Maine?

What kind of people live here and what are their cultural values like?

i think of rain, blame, spain, and robert baine

I sometimes vacation in Booth Bay Harbor and it’s nice. Other than The tourist spots, there’s a lot of junkies.

Methheads and somalis, just like the rest of rural america

From what I’ve seen, outdoorsy white girls with big tits

it's where boring white people who eat lobster and have never met a person of color vote for anti-white federal policies.

Old people eating lobster at the pier, methheads and trailers (but no parks), Sam Hyde, and pine trees. It's Florida but with snow and no niggers or spics.

Pretty much the entirety of route 1 is just gay liberals.
>Kittery trading post is based as fuck
>LLBean is gay as fuck
>Reds Eats is pretty good
>Acadia is okay
>Fuck Boston
>Fuck CIA glowniggers who invade Camden for their annual meeting
>Fuck McDogshits “Lobster Rolls”.

i don't think anyone actually lives there

I stopped at some small airport a couple years ago and stepped outside between flights. There was a dude smoking a bowl right outside with a cop sitting 50 yards away... So now I just assume it’s full of burnouts.

It was 2018.

I think of Stephen King and of the retarded redneck that ran him over.

Isn't Sam Hyde based in Rhode Island?

Child fuckers you see 11yo girls with men all the time flat landers

RI user here

No, he's not. 95% of Maine is pretty based, the southernmost coastal spots are full of libshits and refugees, but once you get further north and rural it's fucking kino

Nice troll thread, everyone knows that Maine isn't real
Stephen King made it up for his books

I would guess it's a lot like Nova Scotia

I think of a slightly less retarded version of Vermont. t. Oklahoman.

Lot's of drunk and stoned people shuffling about.

Looks like grug

Mountains, hippies, and Stonewall Kitchen jam.

Like Minnesota. Sparsely populated, quality place, but being flooded with bulbheads who are taking over the politics in the state.

Its where people drink Fire Ball, work at lobster warehouses, Fish, hunt moose, hipster tourism, Portsmouth NH, Portland concerts, craft beer, grow weed, and just be working class people.

true but not much

its cold damp and green

Seems like half of Stephen Kings books are set in Maine. Seems like a comfy place from the vibe generated by his descriptions of things.
Outside of Derry that is.

Its kinds like Austrsilia

Sam was from south shore MA, like Brockton or some other shithole. It's Marky you're thinking of who was from RI

I like the climate and demographics, wish they had the mindset and government of Arizona.

Idk i think of ll bean and pre-remington bushmaster.

I love Maine folk music

Maine is like the rest of New England, just a bit more rural. The fragile, fleeting aesthetic of these states feels as though it shrinks away into corners where the incessant march of convenient modes of life overlook it
I'm from Cape Cod and imagine it's similar in most ways, haven't been much but there is always the old picturesque historic district people want picture but nobody lives in, while in reality most of it is transient plywood culdesac complexes no soul same as everywhere

Comfy

Lived in Maine since the 80s

The coastal southern counties were invaded by Mass beginning in the late 90s and took off with abandon after 9/11. coastal southern maine is now a big gay extension of boston suburbs, filled with faggots, karens and other worthless fucks.

a 30-60 minute drive inland its still 80s reagan country. the only thing different is the smaller lakes haven't had boats on them since gas broke $2 a gallon, UTVs have replaced Quads and Bikes, and everyone that shot rifles and shotguns now owns a handful of AR clones.

Whats Maine like in terms of politics/taxes/gun laws? I've been dead set on moving to NH because it's pretty fucking based, but never really considered Maine

Massachusetts.

Maine, and Mass were joined at the hip since the Rev war

-High taxes
-Long distances between towns
-Money is concentrated on the coast, locals are priced out of anywhere nice
-Never recovered from industry crashing in the 70-90s. Most young people that don't braindrain to Boston or NYC are at best teachers, usually service workers
-Whitest state in the union, targeted for Somali injection since the 90s
-Natives don't know how good the ethnostate is, lack of interaction with niggerdom lowers their defense and they vote for kikes that want to tear everything down

On the pros:
-Amazing outdoor living. Lakes, rives, mountains, woods, ocean
-cheap land upstate
-Great history and culture outside of the city. Small towns with deep, hearty roots.
-Constitutional Carry

>t. Ex-expat Mainer, recently moved back

dont forget all the goddamn single moms

No he lives in Providence, I see the fucker driving around all the time on the east side.

I picture a bunch of flatlanders who should go back the way they came.

where did you live inbetween ?

most locals don't eat lobster very often, its expensive as fuck to eat often at like $13+/pound

You forgot shopping in NH to avoid the sales tax =D

lived here my whole life. none of you faggots are welcome by the way.

I haven't spent a lot of time there, but what time I've been able to spend there was pleasant. Beautiful scenery, lush forests, kind, intelligent, mostly white population. The cities aren't too bad. It's kind of like the PNW except not gay and shitty.

The price has dropped to 7.99 a pound in my area do to Corona. =D

This is what I think about. Nothing else.

Elderly boomers who have never met a nigger and are scared of being called racist.

Fahkin' A, man. Maine is alright.

It’s a state on my list of “could move too’s”

Rare merchant.

high levels of drug use coupled with an intense hatred for outsiders.
portland will be the only place a worthless fuck like OP would be able to reside without being run down in the street by a atv.

thanks, Captain Obvious

ME D1 controls the whole state, outside of a few seats, its solid D and lead by insane progressives who have never lived near a minority that makes less than 100K.

Depends on where you want to live and what you want to do?

If you want to live along the coast you'll have to go nearly to canada for something affordable and remotely sane politics wise.

The southern foothills are great if you like hiking, hunting, offroading, and shooting. though most of it is like the midwest, where all the idustry went to china. Russia bought and disassembled a few paper mills to ship to siberia..

Northern maine is nice, and depending upon where you live its the same as the souther foothills, but away from Caribou/Presq Islse its far more libertarian leaning.

I'd move back to NH, but you'd have to live outisde of Portsmouth or the Mass to Manchester I93 corridor.

Damn, this is an evocative post

It’s full of naive whites that vote for kikes and traitors who want their destruction.

I've been up north a bunch, the small towns surrounding Baxter State Park are so fucking cozy, don't seem to have changed much since the 70's

It's full, fuck off to Dixie

Bob’s Clam Hut

Jennifers Crabs

Yut. You gotta head of to karibou to find real mainiacs.
