I saw the videos with the empty Elmhurst hospital and I agreed that was shady af, shared it with a few people. Even started to wonder if that could actually be happening.
I now know at least two people, one ancient, and one in her 30s and healthy, who got it. Same household. The old guy is old but a beloved grandfather, personally I don't like him but everyone else does so I'll be doing my best to improve his condition without taking him to the hospital after which we might never see him again. The 30s has had a ton of stress in her life but no preexisting conditions. Her symptoms only started just now so I don't know how she will handle it.
Not taking anyone to the hospital per the triage about tossing out old and severely ill people in NYC, at least not yet. Anyone know how to get the malaria drugs or anything else that might work? Did some research and I'll be shipping out the good vitamin C to them today.

NYC here. Know a couple, wife tested positive for it over 2 weeks ago. Husband after 2 weeks (they still sleep in the same bed) hasn't had any symptoms. I hung out with them the day before she got the fever. I haven't had any symptoms either. She had fever for a few days, then was just feeling sluggish. She is all better now. No drugs necessary. All in our 30s.

I've been isolating and staying at home for the last two weeks just to be safe, but It's been over two weeks and most say that the incubation period is 1 to 14 days. I think I'm safe at this point. I'm taking it seriously as a precaution, however I see people around me are really panicking. They reading too much of that fake news. Obviously the old guy should be concerned, however it's not a death sentence. I don't know the answer to OPs question about where to get treatment. Would hope the hospitals have he hydroxy if you're willing to sign a waiver.
