I used to work as a professional chef, and it was required that we had our own knives, jacket, apron, etc... Everything we needed to safely, cleanly, and effectively create meals.
Why is there no same expectation for doctors?
We hear about all these medical shortages and all doctors had at their homes were a few pairs of teal pajamas.
No doctors coming into thier place of work with their own stockpile of masks, gloves, other PPE, face shields.
How can you effectively do your job with no prep or equiptment?
Just saying, it's like those people who buy $10 coffee every morning and spend $40 a day on food they bought from outside and then complain about not being able to pay rent during an emergency.
No fucking shit you wasted your time and money and now you want someone else to take care of you when shit hits the fan?
>I used to work as a professional chef Not suprised you dont have a higher education after making a post like this
Christian Morris
I work as a mechanic, should I be expected to provide the spark plugs I'm to change?
Gavin Sullivan
yeah but imagine posting and not saying a single thing like some brain dribble faggot
Wyatt Turner
>i worked in an industry where people are treated like shit and expected to pay for their own equipment so that managers and owners can make more money so everyone should put up with this Fuck off with your race to the bottom bullshit.
Nathan Bailey
yes, and then you charge people for them. that's how it's always worked. You dont' understand this because you're a wage cuck.
Josiah Gutierrez
I'm a welder. Respirators are my responsibility or I die.
Nolan Robinson
You sound idiotic. All systems and insitutions which seek to profit (read : usurp the surplus value) off of human efforts need to be accountable to those same humans.
you fools are gonna fuck this up for the whole species
Ian Bailey
No but I bet you had to buy your own tools.
Caleb Bell
OP is a braindamaged coke snorting retard, lay off the powder and cigarettes.
Adrian Morales
every physician should have at least one hospital bed at home
Kayden Cruz
>I used to work as a professional chef What cuisine did you mean?
I require P2 masks for my line of work, as well as half/full-face masks, and I have to buy my own. I've never had a shortage because surprise, I had to buy my own.
t.bogan Dale Gribble
Brandon Bailey
make*
Dylan Myers
he's actually making a good point. All my "ppe" I need for work is purchased and maintained by me. Doctors are just whiny entitled bitches
Owen Gray
Q fever Hantaviruses Toxins
Are the shit I mostly have to filter, and have a high incidence of exposure to.
Levi Richardson
Because your knife isnt going into someones body. Plus everything that goes into the OR needs to be sterilized and shit.
Caleb Jackson
Actually the company does. You're right You win
Joseph White
How did you go from boasting your career to shitting on doctors to shitting on everyday people living paycheck to paycheck Take meds you’re too angry
Carson Hall
Yes, medical advice from a chef. Very important. Go away retard. Medical equipment is worth more than you will ever make in your entire life.
Alexander White
So much this. I'm a mechanic and have to have all of my own tools, ppe, etc. Doctors and nurses make enough money that they can buy a fucking mask and gloves.
Wyatt Moore
Lmao can see why you chose your profession. Dumb cunt
Matthew White
Same formatting, same word choice, same attitude. I think I'm going to start tagging you people. I'm really curious as to your goals and methods. A cursory glance suggestions you're trying to steer the conversation. But I think it's more than that, I think you're also trying to influence what words people use. A kind of 1986 thought control, but less comprehensive. Kind of like a big numbers game; if we can influence 10% of the population we can expect X results.
Juan Gomez
>Brags about universal healthcare >Doesn't understand universal healthcare
Dominic Wilson
because medical supplies are disposable. I'm an HVAC technician and im expected to have my own hand and power tools, but my boss buys my shop towels, cleaning supplies, etc. And any highly expensive tools like vacuum pumps.
Christian Wright
And sure enough, same formatting, same diction. All the same. I wonder, are you guys using some kind of tool to post that does this? Or is it NLP? Is it NLTK? I fucking love the NLTK, great shit.
Owen Garcia
What's your best dish? I'm kicking myself for not stealing the 4 cheese and guiness bread crumb recipe from the place I once worked at.
Aiden Walker
If you work in an office, should you buy your own computer and printer to use at work?
Chase Collins
Is a sharpened $1 knife is just as a good as a 500 dollar?
Juan Nelson
Yes, and they can have their own stash of disposable gear. If they bought them up to prepare for these things, then there would have been no shortage as the supply would have kicked in.
Grayson Lewis
*4 cheese bread guiness bread crumb macaroni
It was fucking good and I'd put it on my own menu if I had a restaurant.
Josiah Cook
No
Old Hickory knives are good for cheap ones, though.
James Taylor
Because the doctors can’t use shit that’s not approved by their hospitals otherwise they lose their workers compensation if anything happens. So they can’t just bring in their PPE. I work on an ambulance and I got told they’ll fire us for looking unprofessional if we don’t wear the proper PPE and use our own. :/
James Murphy
>ppe and hand sanitizer are worth thousands of dollars
Blake Price
There's a difference between being required to own reusable tools and being required to own a supply of disposable tools. With all the aids ridden faggots these days, I wouldn't trust a reused medical tool, even if it was autoclaved.
Robert Gomez
No really the control and licences are what drive price up
Jeremiah Ortiz
nice meme knife
Jose Harris
Because everything you touch is going to die or is already dead.
Doctors would like to keep their "produce" alive.
Josiah Taylor
Some docs and nurses actually got fired for bringing their own PPE and wearing it, so you need to educate yourself because you're clearly in the dark as to how a hospital works. Docs work as contractors for a hospital basically. The hospital owns the building and maintains the insurance, license, etc, so they set the rules. It's their house. You're not allowed to just do shit as you please, you have to be credentialed for every specific procedure and process you want to do. If you have any other retarded autistic questions please do ask, or in the meantime just rope yourself and spare us the quora tier discussion.
Carter Jackson
You’re a specialist, most specialists have their own tools. Doctors included. You probably have never visited a private, specialized practice but I assure you they exist. The doctor owns or leases all the shit in there. The same goes for mechanics, plumbers, drivers, chefs whatever. If you’re a moron who barley passes in your field you will probably work for a large company that outfits you with the things you need to barley get the job done. If you specialize and become the top in your field, you will buy and maintain high quality tools and gear because they make things easier and allow you to do a more high quality job.
Charles Long
I'm glad I'm not the only person noticing it. Is it intentional manipulation, or a byproduct of the manipulation. Polite sage.
Bentley Foster
I figured it was the chinese trying to subvert our societies by chipping away at the pillars of our societies. If they can make you distrust every aspect of your society then that leaves you weak and open for suggestion. I guess not every aspect but some of the more important ones, anyway.
Henry Walker
These are right. I'm just a lab tech for the hospital I work at, and I'm not even allowed to bring a homemade mask to work, they give you a fresh disposable mask at every entrance.
Adam Brown
I agree. I can't put my finger on it but this just seems so disingenuous and fake. It feels like they're just trying to slide the threads or shape the discussion through clutter.
Michael Harris
No unless you'll include them in what you're charging. Better you tell them to hop into their autoparts joint and buy it themselves.
Be as transparent as you can. Mechanics can be as shiesty as "healthcare professionals". Don't be that kind of guy and you'll build up trusted relationships with your clients. So you shouldn't expect it, you should tell them or give them a choice.
If this is some sort of jab at OP and the subject.. mechanics buy their own tools. Unless you walk into a dealership that absolutely rips people a new butthole, total shiesters just like hospitals, I think they stock their own tools
David Lopez
Doctors require at least 10 times the amount of tools that you use. Thanks for playing though
Grayson Diaz
eat a shit dude, chefs are the last bastion of hard working no bullshit jobs.
Nathan Cook
They need to be sterilized. Hard to have your own tools when you need everything sterile. So your supposed to leave you tools at the hospital to be stolen? Or would you want the surgeon to bring all his instruments from home when he operates on you and hope they are sterile and not just washed in the sink?
Asher Moore
You're not throwing away your pots, pans and knives away after single use. You wouldn't be able to support yourself if you had to rebuy kitchen ware after every meal cooked. This is why health is so expensive because we're required to throw out majority of supplies after single use.
Asher Ortiz
nah you kys nigger. if they don't have the tools in their house you fucking leave not complain. kys again for good measure.
Ian Brown
I've been noticing it for years with increasing frequency. They seemingly very successful as well.
I don't think there's enough evidence to say who it is. It very well could be them, or somebody else. It's even in the realm of possibility that it's multiple actors working together.
Anthony King
Go drop my fries you degenerate cokehead
Daniel Rivera
Because sterilizing machines don't exist..
Matthew Garcia
It's a lot of little things that they all have in common. Those posts have a very specific "tone" for lack of a better word. Like you said, disingenuous and fake. I hesitate to simply call it trolling since they're so similar and so ubiquitous. There's vocabulary they repeat again and again. They definitely appear to be shaping discussion, but I think its more than that. I think they're trying to control diction.
Grayson Ramirez
>THAT'S NOT HOW NATURE WORKS the whole existence of modern medicine and hospitals is essentially against the natural order of things. The fuck is your point?
Xavier Nguyen
>Unless you walk into a dealership that absolutely rips people a new butthole, total shiesters just like hospitals, I think they stock their own tools Even techs at dealerships still have to buy their own tools but things like towels, gloves and uniforms are provided by the company.
>durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr hiiiii guys I'm OP durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I'm a big dumb retarded faget durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr doctors should have their own masks because I'm a chef durrrrrrrrrrr
Evan Harris
>I work as a mechanic, should I be expected to provide the spark plugs I'm to change?
No, but most mechanics are expected to have their own tools. Especially if you are serious at your job, and prefer certain brains and having quality tools -- over the beater tools that get lost, stolen, and thrown around the floor by Cletus in the shop.
>Medical equipment is worth more than you will ever make in your entire life The real answer is that there never were enough masks in existence for this kind of thing, because those fuckers thought they were invincible and pandemics were nebulous things that only happened to non-people in shithole countries. Fauci lied, people died.
>The hospital owns the building and maintains the insurance, license, etc, so they set the rules. >They would rather you break the rules by not wearing PPE than break the rules by wearing unapproved PPE Fuck this ant-hive world, were every decision has to be approved by committees and peer review.
Nearly every tradesman, from machinists, to mechanics, to carpenters, to plumbers and HVAC techs are expected to have their own tools, most of the time. At least a basic assortment. In fact, if you care at all -- you will have your own preferred tools you specifically buy.
You would know that if you weren't an unemployable NEET who demands Bernie Sanders gives him free money for waking up in the morning.
Nathaniel Cooper
One of these days you're going to feel sick as fuck, you'll drop into a hospital.. they'll take your pulse and lay you down for an hour. Then they'll kick you out with a 5k bill.
These guys are crooks. And it's not the governments fault that they're greedy. That greed comes from within
Carter Brooks
>need to be accountable to those same humans
Your life is more valuable to you than it is to somebody you've probably never met in the top ranks of your company. It is your responsibility to be accountable to yourself, instead of expecting other people to wipe your ass for you.
Jaxson Watson
Cooking culture is retarded, and people let themselves get taken advantage of constantly by either being just plain stupid, or have a drug problem/history preventing them getting any other job. I cooked for 15 years, ran one or two kitchens and the entire industry is complete bullshit. You’re not any tougher for working way harder than you’re being paid and too stupid to find a better
Sebastian Brooks
>you need to educate yourself
Libtard detected. Back to Plebbit, faggot.
Jackson Scott
Physicians that have a private practice and who are affiliated with a hospital should have all their own equipment ready to go. Physicians affiliated with a university and who work at a hospital only are the ones that expect to be served by the hospital they work for.
Luke Allen
Do you bring your own portable oven and stove top? Idiot.
David Bell
>my employer didn't provide basic tools like knives Why the fuck would you work there? Did they not have pans too?
Austin Cook
So it's like Anthony Bourdain described it.. What's the best dish you know how to make?
Adrian Bailey
True enough. I guess its probably more likely to be a collection of random assholes trying to achieve some goal but through similar means. Be it the discord trannys trying to single out and make entire flags memes so they get ignored, weird little faggots trying for gun control, etcetera.. Idk, I always like to jump to some lurking big bad like the commies or glowniggers trying to fuck with people.
Liam Brown
Good Chefs are a good honest respectable occupation.
Being a linecook at Denny's is not. You would know the difference if you actually ate at places that had standards, and didn't hire drug addicts and recently released ex-cons.
Ethan Carter
This has actually already happened to me. Yes they are indeed crooks but that doesn't mean doctors should have to furnish their own tools
