If the educators had the will to inspire students to surpass them in all areas including impulse control and self-restraint they would have banned digital devices from the grounds. Schools have always been a form of daycare. They teach them while they're there, as something to do, and that's how they evolved.

It's true that socialization has always been one of the main points of public school. They also used to try and educate the children, but that's impossible when you have to accommodate the idiotic shit leftists believe. Trying group together a bunch of kids from different social classes, cultures, genders, and talent and teach them all the same thing. It doesn't work. In fact it is such a spectacular failure that they have to replace the children's blood with ritalin just to get them to sit still. With the advent of student loans for all, even colleges have become like this. The entire system is incredibly flawed, the few who do well in the education system and emerge unscathed are lucky. The more common public school experience is analogous to a back alley abortion.

I listened to Molymeme talk about the Daycare Generation last night. School is just a big state daycare center so that both parents can work instead of mom staying home. That's the whole point of school. It has nothing to do with education, it is simply a tool to remove children from their parents

Schools do not teach you how to succeed. They normalize a wage slave shift. They need to be abolished and re-implemented from the ground up. Stock class should be mandatory. Business ownership class should be mandatory. Government incentives class should be mandatory

No school can teach you how to be a millionaire. That doesn't make any sense. Since resources are not limitless, we compete for them. You have to win against other people just like any competition. So an education system that is available to the public can't produce people who are better than average. Even if it was possible to turn dummies into geniuses, there would be this inequality. So yes you can't get rich through the public education system, you need to go above and beyond.

I had to take the TAKS test. We were told we wouldnt graduate if we failed it but there is no way thats correct. Half the black kids in my school still couldnt formulate a correct written sentence or do 7th grade math when they graduated.

I agree that they should, but they can't. If everyone is a business owner, who will work for them? Should the employee make as much as the owner even though the owner is taking on the risk? If so, there is no incentive to start a business. If no, then some people will end up as 'slaves'. Some sort of socialized ownership? When they find a way to make that work we'll see. Schools are complete trash these days and they should absolutely be redesigned to teach more effectively and allow the students to flourish. Unfortunately I don't think the underclass will ever disappear.

The vast majority of schools are actually just state run daycare so parents can go to work and be tax payers. The few students who actually do have a drive to learn will learn on their own regardless of setting, and the ones who don't want to learn can't be forced to learn even if put in a school setting.

There isn't one, I had the same revelation today. Every single word needs to be taken literally when I say Public schools are prisons for children. They do not teach, everyone is slowed down to the pace of the retarded kid with alcoholic parents. It doesn't matter how much you as a parent read to them, educate them, sit down and explain to them, once they go in, they have to go the same pace as the kids that haven't. Homeschool as soon as possible. This whole virus has been a brilliant opportunity for people to realise "hey, homeschooling isn't bad, we can afford it and it's way more rewarding than making money for the boss another day"
