I used to have a girlfriend in Paris, I went there a lot, and I don't think the people were all that different from British people really. The biggest difference I spotted was that French people are more passionate in both directions, love and hate. They are loving quickly, and they become angry quickly. British people are more reserved with our emotions.

Also French people have no problem with complaining to get an injustice solved. Brits like me will try to be nice and cooperate with someone to find a solution, French people just pretend to be outraged and furious until the problem is solved.

Ironically, I felt that British people have greater unity between them than French people, who have liberty, egality and fraternity - but I felt like they alienated each other easily. British comedy and music is better than French, but French food and art is far superior to British.

Its a very beautiful country, but the roads and graffiti need to be dealt with. The metro is useful, but you need to kick out the homeless people, who are allowed to sleep there and annoy visitors. Also change the metro paper ticket system, which is bullshit, get a plastic card to charge.

Had a French Gf for several years. So here's my 5 cents:
-prices for beer and alcohol in general are too high
-you guys need to clean your fucking streets more often.
-being mixed is becoming the norm in France
-people fuck more than us Germans
-rural France is pretty amazing
