Was Jesus a Communist?
Was Jesus a Communist?
who fucking cares? fuck off
The only form of government compatible with the Bible is monarchy
No but op is a faggot
Nazbol. Called for wealth redistribution but understood who's hands the wealth was in.
Only communists can attribute all good and pretend there is no evil in their doctrine. If you apply christian morality to communist doctrine you get national socialism.
no, fuck off
also hammer and sickle is the alchemical Saturn symbol, it is satanic and was chosen for this purpose
No he was a litteral nazi.
Communism is the Saturn Cult
Jesus was a good man
I don't know if I can say the same about some of his followers
He was your Messiah and your ancestors rejected him
More like communism is a Christian cult sans Jesus. Which is why jewish people find it so palatable.
Was OP a faggot?
Yet another fucking religion thread
Sage
No, because he knew in this imperfect world there would always be poor people, he didn't preach dumb Utopian society
If you truly believe this you are basing your belifes on 4-yos literal interpretation of Bible. At no point in Bible it talks about what perfect system is or what system is compatible. Sure there is speak about paying taxes or respecting rulers, but you can't base political system on thoose things and not fearing rulers. All political systems have all of this, execpt maybe totalitarian tyrannys like fascism or stalinsim.
Completly stupid take
And all those who had faith were at the same place and owned all things communally, And they sold their properties and possessions, and distributed to everyone, according as anyone had need. ... And both the heart and the soul of the multitude of those who had come to have faith were one, and no one said that any of the possessions belonging to him was his own, but everything was owned among them communally. ... For neither was anyone among them in need; for as many as were proprietors of lands or households were selling them and bringing the profits of the things sold, And laying them at the feet of the Apostles, and there was a redistribution, to each according as anyone had need. (Acts 2:44–45; 4:32, 34–35)
But this was voluntary - so Marxist-Leninist one party state goes out of the question.
But yea early Church in Jerusalem was technically communist - and this phenomena went on until around 200 AD.
One in mind and soul, we do not hesitate to share our earthly goods with one another. All things are common among us but our wives.
Tertullian, “The Apology,”
From a NT translation intro:
This, in all likelihood, explains why the early Christians were (in the strictly technical sense) communists, as the book of Acts quite explicitly states. If these are indeed the Last Days, as James says—if everything is now seen in the light of final judgment—then storing up possessions for ourselves is the height of imprudence. And I imagine this is also why subsequent generations of Christians have not, as a rule, been communists: the Last Days in fact are taking quite some time to elapse, and we have families to raise in the meantime. But at the dawn of the faith little thought was given to providing a decent life in this world for the long term. Thus we are told the first converts in Jerusalem after the resurrection, as the price of becoming Christians, sold all their property and possessions and distributed the proceeds to those in need, and then fed themselves by sharing their resources in common meals (Acts 2:43–46). Barnabas, on becoming a Christian, sold his field and handed over all the money to the Apostles (Acts 4:35)—though Ananias and Sapphira did not follow suit, with somewhat unfortunate consequences. To be a follower of “The Way” was to renounce every claim to private property and to consent to communal ownership of everything (Acts 4:32).
Even those verses from 1 Timothy 6 that I mentioned above are not nearly as mild and moderate as they might seem at first glance. Earlier in the chapter, the text reminds Christians that they bring nothing into this world and can take nothing with them when they leave it, and tells them to content themselves simply with having enough food and clothing. It also tells them that all who seek wealth—not simply all who procure it unjustly—have ensnared themselves in desires that will lead to their ruin: “For the love of money is a root of all evils, in reaching out for which some have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves about with many pains” (6:7–10).
(1/2)
True, verse 17 merely advises the rich not to be “arrogant” or “in high spirits” (depending on how one interprets it), and not to put their trust in wealth’s “uncertainty” (or, better, in “the hiddenness” of their riches) rather than in the lavishness of God’s providence. But verse 18 goes further and tells them not only to make themselves rich in good works, but also to become—well, here the customary translations are along the lines of “generous” (εὐμεταδότους [evmetadotous]) and “sharing” (κοινωνικούς [koinōnikous]), but the better renderings would be something like “persons readily distributing” their goods, in the former case, and something like “communalists” or “persons having all their possessions in common,” in the latter. (A property that is koinōnikon is something held in common or corporately, and therefore a person who is koinōnikos is certainly not just someone who occasionally makes donations at his own discretion.) Only thus, says verse 19, can the wealthy now “store up” a good foundation for the age that is coming, and reach out to take hold of “the life that is real.” And this would seem to have been the social philosophy of the early church in general. When Christianity arrived in Edessa (to take a very local but very revealing case, more or less at random), its adherents promptly became a kind of mendicant order, apparently owning nothing much at all. In the words of that very early manual of Christian life, The Didache, a Christian must never claim that anything is his own property, but must own all things communally with his brethren (4:9–12).

1/4 Jesus political attitude
TLDR
>never make the mistake of identifying Jesus' teachings with any political or economic theory, with any social or industrial system
The Urantia book
>[Paper :Section. Paragraph]
>[140:8.9]
2. Political attitude. He cautioned his apostles to be discreet in their remarks concerning the relations then existing between the Jewish people and the Roman government; he forbade them to become in any way embroiled in these difficulties. He was always careful to avoid the political snares of his enemies, ever making reply, "Render to Caesar the things which are Caesar's and to God the things which are God's." He refused to have his attention diverted from his mission of establishing a new way of salvation; he would not permit himself to be concerned about anything else. In his personal life he was always duly observant of all civil laws and regulations; in all his public teachings he ignored the civic, social, and economic realms. He told the three apostles that he was concerned only with the principles of man's inner and personal spiritual life.
>[140:8.10]
Jesus was not a political reformer. He did not come to reorganize the world; even if he had done this, it would have been applicable only to that day and generation. Nevertheless, he did show man the best way of living, and no generation is exempt from the labor of discovering how best to adapt Jesus' life to its own problems. But never make the mistake of identifying Jesus' teachings with any political or economic theory, with any social or industrial system.
>[140:8.11]
3. Social attitude. The Jewish rabbis had long debated the question: Who is my neighbor? Jesus came presenting the idea of active and spontaneous kindness, a love of one's fellow men so genuine that it expanded the neighborhood to include the whole world, making all men one's neighbors. But with all this, Jesus was interested only in the individual, not the mass.

>For, indeed, although the socialists, stealing the very Gospel itself with a view to deceive more easily the unwary, have been accustomed to distort it so as to suit their own purposes, nevertheless so great is the difference between their depraved teachings and the most pure doctrine of Christ that none greater could exist (Leo XIII)
Everything mentioned there is voluntary. The story of Ananias and Sapphira in Acts stresses the voluntary nature and that they were well within their rights to withhold money, just not to lie about it. Communists are coveters and thieves.
The parable of the wicked tenants even contains an explicit condemnation by Jesus of the wicked tenants who seize the means of production.

2/4 Jesus's political attitude
TLDR
>The family occupied the very center of Jesus' philosophy of life—here and hereafter.
The Urantia book
>[Paper :Section. Paragraph]
>[140:8.12]
The Master did not say that men should never entertain their friends at meat, but he did say that his followers should make feasts for the poor and the unfortunate. Jesus had a firm sense of justice, tempered with mercy. He did not teach his apostles that they were to be imposed upon by social parasites or professional alms-seekers. The nearest he came to making sociological pronouncements was to say, "Judge not, that you be not judged."
>[140:8.13]
He made it clear that indiscriminate kindness may be blamed for many social evils. The following day Jesus definitely instructed Judas that no apostolic funds were to be given out as alms except upon his request or upon the joint petition of two of the apostles. In all these matters it was the practice of Jesus always to say, "Be as wise as serpents but as harmless as doves." It seemed to be his purpose in all social situations to teach patience, tolerance, and forgiveness.
>[140:8.14]
The family occupied the very center of Jesus' philosophy of life—here and hereafter. He based his teachings about God on the family, while he sought to correct the Jewish tendency to overhonor ancestors. He exalted family life as the highest human duty but made it plain that family relationships must not interfere with religious obligations. He called attention to the fact that the family is a temporal institution. Jesus did not hesitate to give up his family when the family ran counter to the Father's will. He taught the new and larger brotherhood of man—the sons of God. In Jesus' time divorce practices were lax in Palestine and throughout the Roman Empire.
>Was Jesus a Communist?
His words that indicate that are as follows:
No one can serve two masters: Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. (Matthew 6:24)
Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.” (Matthew 19:21)
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 19:23)
Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” (Matthew 19:24)
As for Bible verses that advocate communism, we have the following:
Better is the little of the righteous than the abundance of many who are wicked. (Psalm 37:16)
For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous. (Psalms 37:17)
All the believers were together and had everything in common. (Acts 2:44)
Selling their possessions and goods, they shared with anyone who was in need. (Acts 2:45)
The multitude of believers was one in heart and soul. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they owned. (Acts 4:32)
With great power, the apostles continued to give their testimony about the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And abundant grace was upon them all. (Acts 4:33)
There were no needy ones among them, because those who owned lands or houses would sell their property, bring the proceeds from the sales, (Acts 4:34)
and lay them at the apostles’ feet for distribution to anyone as he had need. (Acts 4:35)
(1/2)
Those who want to be rich, however, fall into temptation and become ensnared by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. (1 Timothy 6:9)
For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. By craving it, some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. (1 Timothy 6:10)
Come now, you who are rich, weep and wail for the misery to come upon you. (James 5:1)
Your riches have rotted and moths have eaten your clothes. (James 5:2)
Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and consume your flesh like fire. You have hoarded treasure in the last days. (James 5:3)
Look, the wages you withheld from the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts. (James 5:4)
You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened your hearts in the day of slaughter. (James 5:5)
You have condemned and murdered the righteous, who did not resist you. (James 5:6)

"What is the worldly religion of the Jew? Huckstering. What is his worldly God? Money.…. Money is the jealous god of Israel, in face of which no other god may exist. Money degrades all the gods of man – and turns them into commodities…. The bill of exchange is the real god of the Jew. His god is only an illusory bill of exchange…. The chimerical nationality of the Jew is the nationality of the merchant, of the man of money in general." -Karl Marx

Every serious Christian nation was a monarchy back in the day. The vatican itself is the longest lasting monarchy to this day.
Only monarchy is the true government. and its what we should strive to take back

3/4 Jesus's political attitude
TLDR
> "What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?" He made no direct attack on the possession of property, but he did insist that it is eternally essential that spiritual values come first.
The Urantia book
>[Paper :Section. Paragraph]
>[140:8.15]
4. Economic attitude. Jesus worked, lived, and traded in the world as he found it. He was not an economic reformer, although he did frequently call attention to the injustice of the unequal distribution of wealth. But he did not offer any suggestions by way of remedy. He made it plain to the three that, while his apostles were not to hold property, he was not preaching against wealth and property, merely its unequal and unfair distribution. He recognized the need for social justice and industrial fairness, but he offered no rules for their attainment.
>[140:8.16]
He never taught his followers to avoid earthly possessions, only his twelve apostles. Luke, the physician, was a strong believer in social equality, and he did much to interpret Jesus' sayings in harmony with his personal beliefs. Jesus never personally directed his followers to adopt a communal mode of life; he made no pronouncement of any sort regarding such matters.
>[140:8.17]
Jesus frequently warned his listeners against covetousness, declaring that "a man's happiness consists not in the abundance of his material possessions." He constantly reiterated, "What shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul?" He made no direct attack on the possession of property, but he did insist that it is eternally essential that spiritual values come first. In his later teachings he sought to correct many erroneous Urantia views of life by narrating numerous parables which he presented in the course of his public ministry. Jesus never intended to formulate economic theories; he well knew that each age must evolve its own remedies for existing troubles.
There was no shortage of food. The Communists blocked all movement. Silos full of wheat rotted while people starved to death. Homes were raided and all food taken.
Fuck you you fucking piece of shit. Burn in hell with the rest of the Communists.
Famines are very much a genocide when you pull out the food from the area you piece of shit
and then you place the army not to allow for the people to run away or bring food from the outside
also keep quiet
Oh the early Church of Jerusalem and Stalin were a continuum line sharing the same conceptual category?
Every monastery is also that?
I have no idea what you just said
also don't go blaming churches
Commies HATE christianity
They pulled the same amount of food as they had done before. A series of incidents within the affected areas caused bad crops. That is not intentional genocide.
ive been to a church in jerusalem and i can confirm:
there was a bread line
No, he was not concerned with Earthly government at all he was only concerned with the Kingdom of God.
Not taking the bible literally... lol Why even pretend to be Christian.
"True, it is a fixed idea with the French that the Rhine is their property, but to this arrogant demand the only reply worthy of the German nation is Arndt's: "Give back Alsace and Lorraine". For I am of the opinion, perhaps in contrast to many whose standpoint I share in other respects, that the reconquest of the German-speaking left bank of the Rhine is a matter of national honour, and that the Germanisation of a disloyal Holland and of Belgium is a political necessity for us. Shall we let the German nationality be completely suppressed in these countries, while the Slavs are rising ever more powerfully in the East?" -Friedrich Engels
"These dying nationalities, the Bohemians, Carinthians, Dalmatians, etc., had tried.... to restore their political status quo of A. D. 800. The history of a thousand years ought to have shown them that such a retrogression was impossible.... this fact merely proved the historical tendency, and at the same time physical and intellectual power of the German nation to subdue, absorb, and assimilate its ancient eastern neighbors; that this tendency of absorption on the part of the Germans had always been, and still was one of the mightiest means by which the civilization of Western Europe had been spread in the east of that continent.... and that, therefore, the natural and inevitable fate of these dying nations was to allow this process of dissolution and absorption by their stronger neighbors to complete itself." -Karl Marx
They gave voluntarily and not by force faggot

4/4 Jesus's political attitude
The Urantia Book
>[Paper :Section. Paragraph]
>[140:8.17]
And if Jesus were on earth today, living his life in the flesh, he would be a great disappointment to the majority of good men and women for the simple reason that he would not take sides in present-day political, social, or economic disputes. He would remain grandly aloof while teaching you how to perfect your inner spiritual life so as to render you manyfold more competent to attack the solution of your purely human problems.
>[140:8.18]
Jesus would make all men Godlike and then stand by sympathetically while these sons of God solve their own political, social, and economic problems. It was not wealth that he denounced, but what wealth does to the majority of its devotees. On this Thursday afternoon Jesus first told his associates that "it is more blessed to give than to receive."
>[140:8.19]
5. Personal religion. You, as did his apostles, should the better understand Jesus' teachings by his life. He lived a perfected life on Urantia, and his unique teachings can only be understood when that life is visualized in its immediate background. It is his life, and not his lessons to the twelve or his sermons to the multitudes, that will assist most in revealing the Father's divine character and loving personality.
>[140:8.20]
Jesus did not attack the teachings of the Hebrew prophets or the Greek moralists. The Master recognized the many good things which these great teachers stood for, but he had come down to earth to teach something additional, "the voluntary conformity of man's will to God's will." Jesus did not want simply to produce a religious man, a mortal wholly occupied with religious feelings and actuated only by spiritual impulses. Could you have had but one look at him, you would have known that Jesus was a real man of great experience in the things of this world.
Who cares he was a dessert kike
Charity has always been a virtue of free people
you westerners sure do know a lot about degeneracy huh?
Make a distinction between one-party Marxist-Leninist states under a materialist ideology which tried and to some extent enabled communism.
And a spiritual practice which also experiences communism in the technical sense. (Communes in early centuries, monasteries ever since - occasionally today intentional communities committed to some form of Christian collectivism)
What I said in that post is that what you're doing is unfair and can be considered to hold no intellectual value.
It's like saying religion is a word describing a continuum from monks doing charity in hospitals and Amteri-indians sacrificing daily to sun-god, hence you should discard religion.
But fuck Stalin, and fuck 20th century materialistic experiments - both Communism and Nazism, they death toll is absurd.
You know the Marxists who refused the ideas of those which went to make those horrible projects - gave rise to social democracy, labor movements and so on - in their ranks many Christians too ... and ever since then we had them or coalitions of them and democratic Christians (centre-left) rule and do good things.
You didn't even read his reply properly.
No. Jmmanuel, the man wrongly referred to as "jesus christ", was a National Socialist, by definition of his own immortal doctrine and eternal knowledge.
why do shills make these threads? there have been thousands of these threads already posted, and fucking debunked, i know they are wasting our time, but can they at least do something fucking new?
yes
>dessert kike
sounds tasty
He didn't espouse genocide or homosexuality. He was also not for the creation of Israel.

Communism refers to those who call themselves communists but push for big goverment and are anti-christians
The real anarcho-communists on the first revolution in Russia were practically pro-community libertarians
Lenin used merceneries to get rid of them and from then on they moved on the Marxist abomination that followed
Carl the cuck Marx's ideology is a tool and you are an imbecil to not see through it's lies
i dont even know how to read ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
>the death toll is absurd
Not nearly as absurd as that of (((capitalism))).
See numberofabortions.com
i love capitalism because money buys big dick trap gf
I have sympathy with what people of Kronstadt achieved - it's true that Lenin squashed their working society.
But they were not libertarians, no no - libertarians are pragmatists with no empathy as studies have actually shown and they align more with pro-capitalism, laisez-faire ideologies and policies.
Socialists of all stripes are against that.
I aim for big state, redistribution, social-nets for people to be saved when in misery, socialized healthcare and all that...
I dunno what social-libertarianism entails, I could never understand it, I've read few articles and the wiki page - it makes no sense, it's not coherent at all.
Again you have the tendency to put everything in a container and call it bad... dunno how to explain it to you, check this concept map.
hello kike.
Bolshevik leaders was a kike just like him
