I mean, I can't speak for the Australian legal system or anything, but it's the same court who wrongly convicted a Catholic Cardinal just because His Eminence was tried and found "guilty" by media shills. And they rolled with that verdict. So I'm very doubtful that this is where the rule of law will make a comeback, I even question if it ever will. We can only pray, but things will only be fine once we all return to Christ.

The high court found that the jury was unreasonable to think beyond reasonable doubt he did it. It is not saying he did not do so. Having safe verdicts stops an innocent man going to jail, but also protects perpetrators being convicted also.

that's not how courts work. everyone is innocent until proven guilty. and not guilty means the accused cannot be convicted. there was not enough evidence for a guilty verdict because the accusations in the first place were incredibly flimsy.
