I had a very interesting dream. It was a rite of passage for an indigenous tribe. They were performing a coming of age ritual for a god. The man had a headdress but not one of the feathered ones it was more like the head of a boar or some kind of creature. The man also held a rod with flame on the end of it. The tribe were all gathered around cheering and shouting, it was quite a high energy event. In order to prove his bravery the man put the flame inside his mouth. He then lie down on the ground as the ritual began. Out from the crowd came a man with a giant mallet. The man with the mallet rushed towards the man with the headdress and bashed the headdress into his head over and over. It became permanently embedded into his skull. The young boys watched in horror as they realized one day they too would have to endure this trial.
That's a pretty common nightmare, it means you feel like your life isn't under your control. I used to have that one a lot.
