Not him, but I watched them for a while.
1. Lack of professionalism. They should edit and re-take where they flub and they don't.
2. Lack of preparation. It's clear that John Oliver is more concerned with their boosterism of Trump than anything else, but struggling to name historical industry titans in the clip shown is simply embarrassing. Prepare and re-take if necessary. That's not getting into the policy being promoted there, which is a bit silly.
3. Boosterism without purpose. They take positions to stump for Trump and don't seem to actually care about standing for any of it. No journalism is objective, but at least think about positions before engaging in endless dick-sucking.
OANN is irritating because I'd like to see a media company that is unapologetically outside the mainstream, but this is clearly just a cash grab with no principles behind it. There's never going to be a day that OANN will try to cash out some of its Presidential goodwill to correct him on policy as opposed to for cash.
Basically, they fail at every step where they could have been a whole network doing what Tucker Carlson does.

It's a feel-good channel for normies and boomers. At least it's much less harmful than Q and its psyop ecosystem.

If text news is your thing, the Washington Examiner or Epoch Times are pretty good.
The former is straight news, with no editorializing - the only evident editorial input is the choice of what stories to cover.
The latter gets a little too invested in anti-CCP stuff because iirc it is owned by Chinese dissidents abroad, but otherwise it is much better than pretty much everything out there.
