Is UK Military really that strong? I always saw here threads and posts about how cool and tough they are
No but they do have badass special forces.
They are very scared of you Ivan
Well trained soldiers, and very experienced in counter insurgency wars... however the army is very small and poorly equipped. Shit assault rifles and probably unable to launch a large scale war without USA backing.
nah, we're pretty screwed as the army was reshaped to fit into a 'european army', with us leaving the EU because of the muslim and african invasion our army is quite shit and we are also flat broke.
Shit that's sad. What about Special Forces?
I'm glad you ask. We are the gold standard when it comes to military. We might not have a big and bloated military like the low-IQ American muttlets, but when it comes to overall quality and discipline of soldier/technology, we are number 1 by far.
Good military, but like pretty much all NATO militaries that currently exist it is entirely incapable of operating effectively without American support. It is an auxiliary force and nothing more.
They're well trained, though I wouldn't exactly say strong per se since they're pretty small for a country the size of the UK. Britain's real military strength was always in the Royal Navy, but now that's fairly small as well.
They’re pathetically weak now a days, probably would lose in a ground war against basically every Slavic nation.
What do we need a large army for? Its just an unnecessary expense, nobody is going to attack us when we have nukes. As for invading other countries I think that ship sailed long ago.
All western militaries have been demoralised, hollowed out, and given substandard shitty equipment. I think the plan was to get America and the UK into another war and then watch the horror on everyone’s faces as their supposedly strong armies were suddenly fighting for their lives. It’s called evening up the sides so the death count is as high as possible, which is why Vietnam lasted much longer than it should have, cause people like McCain were fighting for Vietnam and against America
Outside of their strong navy (which is now gone too) the bongs were always pathetic fighters hence having an empire of shitskins who fought with sticks and stones because bongs could never win against actual people.
At least we're not castrated and sissified like you Hans.
This
We are all fucking mad though aswell, see both world wars. Germans thought we had machine guns when we were using bolts.
The Navy isn't COMPLETELY gone. By the end of the year, we'll have the second largest Aircraft Carrier fleets in the world at the very least, and some of the most advanced ones.
Still better than most others for sure but it all went just downhill since 45.
It was a mistake that the cold war ended.
>uk
>poorly equipped
fucking how you muppet, arent you super rich as fuck as a country
On paper we're better trained than the Americans. In practice, most of our soldiers are completely retarded, and your average platoon doesn't have 5 A*-C GCSEs between them
The Special Air Service, Special Boat Service and the Royal Marines are world-class. The SAS's training alone kills recruits it's so brutal. Britain projects lots of soft power, so our men are better received in foreign lands. Our armed forces are woefully under funded and under equipped. But we are still awesome.
isnt the whole doctrine of war in britain these days basically airforce and navy beats land wars?
i think they gave up on land wars.
Man for man they are probably the best trained soldiers out there.
However there's not all that many of them.
Yes but only the Scottish regiments. Oh and the PARAs and SAS/SBS which are made up of mostly Scots. The English are big girls and more often than not are the bully victims.
>It's another "Scottish guy makes it all about Scotland when nobody cares"thread
Hoots Mon.
You already know, Ivan.
Big oof
They were more a naval power. I believe they still have a competent Navy. Not a ‘conquer the world’ type situation, but capable of defeating an Argentina tier foe once in a while, if necessary.
You say that like there are many other countries that could have done it from half way round the world.
>which are made up of mostly Scots.
Are you fucking retarded?
Always a good laugh on holiday when you bump into a group of English lads. They always suck up the arses of the Scots for fear of getting bullied. “Oi lads watcha drinkin”? Fuckin’ gimps.
The government had a big review a few years back and are super pissed we built two new aircraft carriers that are functionally useless against a first world nation and would have to be removed from any theatre of war against someone with hypersonic darts. It’s been slowly re-purposed as a rapid response force, essentially the equivalent of one the US’s many marine brigades for short sharp hot conflict responses. We have very good air surveillance and the Navy can force project globally but why the fuck would be want to or need to when we’re spending a fortune monitoring 20,000 jihadists in our own country?
Lmao. Shut up Trevor.
I said it was competent...But not conquer the world tier. I stand by that and think it’s a succinct, accurate assessment.
But hey, at least we know not to shoot blues.
Conquer the world *AGAIN* tier you mean.
The strength of the UK Military is relative. UK and France have the largest in Europe and are both Professional (UK is 22 years service one you sign up), compare that to the rest of Europe and it can be considered powerful, but realy its not.
Lol no. The UK is very poor, and most of the wealth is tied up in 'finance' that can't ever be realised.
Precisely.
>lose two wars with bongs
>bongs could never win against actual people
>the eternal kraut
funny but also cope
things that never happened
bitches are just gonna camp on their island and let their allies do all of the dirty work again
The good?
Quick to deploy, worldwide range, kit is modern and up to snuff if not exceptional, British Squaddies have a good espirit de corps, and are keen and able to engage in close quarters fighting, see; trench warfare during the battle of Mt. Tumbledown durin' the Falkands, and the incident in Helmand province which ended in a shockingly successful bayonet charge.
The bad:
The British government cuts their budget every time the purse strings get drawn, and politics has been interfering with recruitment and training, trying to shoehorn in "diverity and inclusion", as such, training standards have slipped recently; other than that, they are few, and often find themselves on the right side of the wrong war, if you get my meaning.
The bad; Underfunded, understaffed, constantly being interfered with
Not all the work. If you look German Naval ships in WW2, the majority that were defeated were sunk by the Royal Navy. And the Battle of Britain was the Luftwaffe's biggest air defeat in the war. We didn't do as much on land as the Russians, but we probably contributed the most in air and sea.
No.
Army is a bunch of subhuman troglodyte toy soldiers who can't even drill for shit.
Navy is a bunch of LARPing stuck up faggots who were too soft for Army and have family issues.
Marines is a bunch of subhuman troglodytes with ADHD.
Royal Airforce is are somewhat human NPCs.
All are underfunded and 70% of POGs are shitskin/mystery meat/tiny blonde bitchy women who virtue signal just like your favourite LGBBQT Twitter trannies.
Overall troop count is small as well.
Special Forces SAS or SBS are good but are also poor af compared to US SF, and honestly, comparatively to other SF career records and experiences, are too hyped up.
As always, do not under any circumstances take any of our stereotypes seriously, it is all marketing gimmick cope.
This island is as poor (the weather is not shitty enough to materially visualise is as much as your shit Ivan), dead in opportunity, miserable, stupid, and mentally ill.
We have nukes Ivan so back the fuck off.
Our lads are the only genetically modified troops with gills in the world. We won a long time ago.
Two world wars and one World Cup, you salty Kraut.
No military in Europe is strong. No money.
Maybe prior to the 90s the Brits were decent at counter insurgency warfare buy their failures in Afghanistan show this is no longer the case
Considering Americans made progress in Iraq after their failings while the Brits didn't show that our military standards have gone down
We have an inefficient National Health Service which is basically a bottomless money pit, meaning other departments go without.
>What do we need a large army for?
You created Israel. You defend them. We can't do all the work user. Our goyim are starting to wake up.
This.
No real manufacturing capabilities, totally reliant on (((service sector))).
>You created Israel
:(
very good special forces, also some very elite infantry such as the paras, commandos (longest infantry training in the world) and the rifles.
however is a smol military
I always get sucked up to by effeminate middle-class scots when im in benidorm cunt
UK has nukes real blue water subs; and a couple of carriers bombers and a great tier one teams. Just small that's all way stronger than Canada tho.
Smart and tough not strong.
I guess if British had there nuclear wepons on there British land right off coast USA called Bermuda.
They could nuclear strike and destroy most America faster then Russians.
In fact UK trident nuclear Subs and fleet are all better then America and Russians.
Only true threat to America is the British
From what I heard when I was in burger military, the brits have a smaller but more professional military, with top of the line spec op units, (delta force was modeled on the sad), also marksmanship is still lauded and focused on, whereas in the us army is all about sending as much lead as possible downrange.
Not true. Now that it's 2020, India is the worlds superpower.
Nothing and I do mean nothing can move in the oceans without SOSAS II hearing it. NRO can task a satellite in under ten minutes. We have a project called Argus that monitors the earth in realtime; at 1m. It can rewind time. Nobody knows how far back the recordings go but they built a datacenter to handle it.
