It's the fate of every MMORPG ever. Make only noob content and Expert level content. That way people are introduced to the game. And the players get excited over something they saw some eceleb doing in a stream. They grind for many many many hours to get their skills up. By the time they access this content, it'll be hollowed out.

But the process repeats, as people stay hooked on the game they've invested into. That's how MMOs make money. It's soul-sucking. I loved RS when I did it, but I'm glad I quit.

I just had to re do it all making an alt. It really is a damn good quest line. The entire quest system is great, I wish more games followed runescape’s example with questing, but its only ever one off fetch quests and kill quests with a semblance of a main story. Your character never feels active in those, just point a to b. Runescape aced giving the game a feeling of adventure like nothing else.

Just start playing again, don't worry about starting over with new stats. It'll be fun. There are players who have made multiple hardcore iron mans (only able to die once before losing status) and consistently restart, while having over 2000 total level. These people are insane, but make a good point that it really doesn't take long to reach end game content.

Always lots to do, and you can always do something on the side like watch youtube/work on something during mundane tasks. Can play on mobile too.
