That argument doesn't make sense as the point of cloth masks is to block droplets to others, not to serve as PPE. As an added benefit they reduce the inoculum load upon initial infection, also giving the wearer a much better chance of fighting off the virus without complications. Lastly they are machine washable and reusable.
