>2. They don't decrease your risk of getting sick. They are for protecting other people if YOU are sick. It's irresponsible to telegraph to other people that you are sick, if you have no symptoms.
>4. They are BADLY NEEDED by trained medical professionals right now as part of their PPE. You are telling everyone "Look at me, I rob our healthcare workers and kick them when they are down". In short, you are a fucking asshole.
Top b8 m8.
Is there anything scummier than using a medial mask in public when doctors are literally dying because of shortages?
I've got homemade masks and we've donated a bunch to our local hospital. Get fucked slide thread
Fuck them. They should have prepared better
That lie has already been debunked. If they won't protect me from getting it, they won't protect doctors and nurses from getting. That lie has already been called out by the NYT, WaPo and National Review. That lie has been termed the "Noble Lie" that was meant to prevent people from stockpiling so they would be available for healthcare workers. A Noble Lie is still a lie. I am a Maritime Firefighter and I know a fuck of a lot more about respiratory PPE than some doctor or nurse as I have to drill with it on a regular basis and be routinely medically reviewed and fit-tested. So, you are a couple of weeks behind on the info as this obvious lie is now out in the open. If not, please explain to us how an N95 will protect a doctor and not a school teacher or a bus drive? Good luck Dr. Science.

You have to go.
The real question is how doctors earning $400k/year having a 3 month opportunity to buy themselves mask after this started, and also the numerous years before - as many have, did not. It's not like a pandemic was unexpected after SARS of 2003 and H1N1 of 2009.
Lol I wear a mask and people turn and walk away from me when I'm in the store, compared to not wearing it and people ignore the 6ft rule. Gloves and mask and no one comes close to me in public.
>My point is simply that the healthcare system in America is a gigantic grift despite the absurd amounts of money thrown around at all levels besides the lowliest of plebs. They literally want my blood for free and now they want me to donate and make masks for them? Fuck hospitals.
UNTRUE. The real problem has always been insurance companies. In the old days, around WWII, insurance was not a business, it was a perk, created by companies in order to help retain employees.
When it was spawned off to its own independent businesses postwar, that is when prices for just about everything related to insurance began to skyrocket.
